SECRET KIDDIES XMAS SWAP - PLEASE READ!!!

Ok, inspired by everyones generosity and an idea I saw I'm suggesting we do a secret kiddies christmas swap.

How it would work is this. If you want to sign up your child(ren) then you list them here. Their ages (don't have to give their names)sexes and their likes and dislikes.

Then you will email me your address. I will then give each person one address and the poster whose child they are swapping presents with. The present will have a value between £1 and £5, I say value cos then you don't have to buy anything new. But it must be in good enough condition to give as a present iykwim.

So then your children would get a surprise gift from a total stranger.

Ok this sounds stupid doesn't it?

I seem to be a little behind - my gift is going out today.

OK, big panic now, despite Pie's advice about getting proof of postage, I forgot, mainly because the woman behind the counter was such a misery guts and really p*ed me off. But I have posted mine, honest. And thanks for ours, DSs were very excited and have put them under the tree.

I have to say, I think this was a stroke of genius. There's something about it that is so much the spirit of Christmas (horrible grammar, but never mind). Knowing that someone who is basically a stranger has gone to the trouble of choosing presents for your children, who they have never seen, was unexpectedly moving. i thik mine arrived on friday...but the post office took it back as it was too big for the letterbox!!!
