As an offshoot of the Baby Modelling thread here is the new and improved thread for all questions you may have regarding agencies, the industry or just to relate general experiences. The last thread is hereby laid to rest - it was 5 YEARS OLD! Jeez!

If you want to DEBATE or CRITICISE go to the "Child Modelling - Debate" thread.

hi mythumbelinas very good point, i guess the biggest time for kids not babies is the run up to christmas

perfumelady · 02/02/2006 17:58

hi izzy

I also think it must be really difficult to pick a child from a snapshop - after all you have got no idea of what they are like. So I wonder if alot of photographers use kids they have used before as they know 'sort of' how they will behave. The shoots my man has been on have had the same photographer.

sh11 · 02/02/2006 18:07

Toys R us and Babies R us will only use mot they said..

sh11 · 02/02/2006 18:08

Do you all know that there is an open casting for babies and toddlers by Blooming Marvellous for their autumn catalogue.

totallyfloaty35 · 02/02/2006 18:10

I think its really important to click with your agency, that way they always have you in mind when stuff comes in.
BTW does anyone know if Elliot brown is sole agency? or if they any good?

yackertyyack · 02/02/2006 18:12

I didn't think Elliott Brown were sole rep as when I was having a nose at the kids there was a little boy on there who is with BK & MOT (he is very good looking so stands out)!

sh11 · 02/02/2006 18:53

Thanks Yack & Izzy for info, they want me to call and chat about DD2 tomorrow, but i'd only heard of them from reading this site,so will call to see if they are nice

cyan · 02/02/2006 19:21

yeah why not ive just applied for the blooming marv one. Come to think of it I remember talking to my friend about kids modelling, and she she said that she used to work for JOJO Maman Bebe, her little sister soph used to model for them all the time when she was younger. Just because kates worked there and her mum was friends with someone who worked there too.

cyan · 02/02/2006 19:23

totally who are you speaking to tomorrow? is elliot brown, im a bit lost there are so many threads, or is it MOT. I would have quite liked my ds to go with them but they said no. said they werent taking any kids on in his age group at the time.

7777777 · 02/02/2006 19:33
