As an offshoot of the Baby Modelling thread here is the new and improved thread for all questions you may have regarding agencies, the industry or just to relate general experiences. The last thread is hereby laid to rest - it was 5 YEARS OLD! Jeez!

If you want to DEBATE or CRITICISE go to the "Child Modelling - Debate" thread.

just been accepted by little acorns! its so confusing with all the replies pouring in - someone further down the thread suggested a methodical way of doing it.. applying to your top 10 list 1 at a time. I really wish I had done that.... B+B, mot, kids london, urban angels, bubblegum, truly scrupt, elliot brown, inspired, elisabeth, norrie - i personally dont like scallywags, rasclas, childsplay or tuesdays child, these 4 come in the top agency list.

Webmum1. You are very welcome, honestly they are soooooooo nice, all very relaxed, quick chat etc. good luck.

Totallyfloaty35. Hi, my eldest is 11, she's done 5 editions of girl talk, fashion catologes, sports wear, x 2 magazine articles, matalan and a new mag coming out since september ( don't tend to do castings, though have calls every week) I don't do every job that we're asked to do, as very manic with her dancing, and always sooooo bloody last minute and have youngest one to sort too. My youngest is 3, and she's done toys r us x 3 times, asda magazine and marks and spenser. They have tons of work. All jobs that they have both been to, majority of the time there is kids from others generally bruce & Brown, Norrie Carr and scallywags. The majority of casting agents use other agents too. So I would go with the agency you feel happy with, and the costs where the costs are less, because if they are reputable they go to the top few. Hope that helps, so when's your assessment? Cheers Manic ma

sh11> have you been accepted by all those agencies? wow if so! what do you think you are going to go for?

totallyfloaty35 · 01/02/2006 17:37

Thanks manic..
IZZY dd2 has left KL.not sure what to do now.
I think i applied to to many agencies in the beginning. You tend to end up thinking the grass is always greener etc.Wish i just applied to my very favourite and waited.now im in a panic about where to put her,she really not as keen on magazine work as she is on tv stuff,so maybe an agent who does tv stuff is where i should aim. Also both dds attend drama school and the principal runs an agency, she would like them on her books and she's not sole agency,BUT she only does film,tv and theatre work

mythumbelinas · 01/02/2006 17:45

hello all. have kids london got a website?

alliep30 · 01/02/2006 18:23

found it... it's a bit snooty!!!! i think you'll get knee capped if you e-mail them photo's.
Yackerty, i'd chose MOT Junior

perfumelady · 01/02/2006 18:24

mythumbelinas glad it went well, fingers crossed for you, what was it for?

totallyfloaty35 what drama school do they go to?

my dd's go to stagecoach. we got an invitation to join the stagecoach agency last week, but i'm so unsure what to do, dd1 can go with them but dd2 who's with urban angels is the problem, both require sole rep. the s/c agency gets loads and loads of work in commercials , film and theatre but there is a much higher amount of competition. think i might stick this year out with u/a see how the work goes if she doen't get much might change to s/c next year. so tough with this sole rep thing, actually it is a pain in the

cyan · 01/02/2006 18:32

yackerty > that's a proper toughie!!!! Im not going to answer it wholeheartedly until after Sat because of shoot, but at the mo Kids London or maybe MOT cos we didnt get accepted by them! Do they take on many babies?

izzy still waiting to here back from them will let you know as soon as

mythumbelinas · 01/02/2006 18:41

alliep, i've sent you pics of my dd's

perfumelady, think it was for bhs again .. hope that's a good thing!

yackertyyack · 01/02/2006 18:41

I know it is a toughie....I would choose MOT. I presume they take on babies.....perhaps they just don't put them on the site!

alliep30 · 01/02/2006 18:43

mythumb's will look at when I get home from work. DH is so chuffed that his e-mail is clogged with piccies of beautiful children.. ha ha

mythumbelinas · 01/02/2006 18:43

Yackertyyack, i'm happy with KL right now since my lil' one has had jobs, but unsure for dd1 .. think MOT and UA are good too

perfumelady · 01/02/2006 18:58

Yackertyyack dd2 is with my first choice: urban angels, but i think they def have more work for the under fives which is why u/a wouldn't be my 1st choice for dd1 (who's 11) i think from what i've read and wesites i've seen i would probably go with mot for her.
