As an offshoot of the Baby Modelling thread here is the new and improved thread for all questions you may have regarding agencies, the industry or just to relate general experiences. The last thread is hereby laid to rest - it was 5 YEARS OLD! Jeez!

If you want to DEBATE or CRITICISE go to the "Child Modelling - Debate" thread.

She's in bed at 6.30pm though, hurrah! If anyone is sad like me and watching BB, let me know who get's the boot.. ta!

Been doing a spot of surfing and found a website that had a list of agents. They are not solely for modelling rather modelling and acting. So perhaps if any of you have any aspiring actresses/actors out there then these might be of some use to you. They are modelling an//or acting agencies. Night night xxxx zzzzzz xxxx

I have been accepted by Bizzykidz and already paid my fee. Been a bit put off by some of the threads on here to be fair, but I was with Norrie Carr and only had one audition but there were loads of kids from bizzykidz there which was why i decided to change to them.

I will let you know how i get on with them if it is of any help to anyone.

p.s. thanks for all the advice everyone has put on here....really informative!

cyan · 26/01/2006 10:19

orlando how long were you with norrie carr for? how olds your dd/ds? my ds is with them. what did you think if them?

hi izzy,

heard from inspired who want to see us tomorrow. not sure whether going to go. might just wait to go see UA and if we don't get offered a contract with them stay with NC. how are you this morning? how many weeks are you? xxx

Hi orlando, I would also echo Izzy's advice, don't be put off by what you read on here as everyone has different experiences with agencies. I have spoken to mums at jobs from loads of different agencies, many mentioned here, and even some of the better ones I have heard mums say bad things about, it is all down to personal experience. This is why i would be put off by agencies that charge alot as you are kind of stuck with them!!The only agency i truely believe noone should touch is models direct, not heard anyone say a good thing about them!

sh11 · 26/01/2006 14:57

cyan and izzyrubi - i think its good u are going to the Inspired Kids interview tom', they are really professional and u can just tell by the site how good they are or will be soon, they only accept quality few, look at the kids on there and you'll see that they all have 'the look'. They wouldn't put all that effort in with site and premises etc if they were not intending to be one of the best. Heard they are on competitive level with mot junior?!? Let us know what u thought.

alliep30 · 26/01/2006 15:27

Izzy love.. What did you know about Cheeky Kidz???? Can anyone else help?

totallyfloaty35 · 26/01/2006 15:31

SH11,have you signed with inspired then? I do like their site, they invited my DD's for interview, haven't been yet.Are they sole rep?

7777777 · 26/01/2006 16:29

hi allie, have you heard off cheekykidz?they emailed me to see ds sat 4th at 5.30, too late for me as itl be dark and i havent got a clue where is it, other than chislehurst, ive rearranged for sunday 6th at 11.30am but i dont know whether to go or just stay with AK as theyve got him the job for the monday anyway.wot u gonna do?

alliep30 · 26/01/2006 16:36

Hi miss 7's! To be honest, their website looks pants, and when I spoke to her she said that aged between 1 and 3 works really dries up, so wasn't really that encouraging...She agve us 1pm on the 4th. I think Izzy has been to see them... Have u def got the job monday.. whenever I ring Lisa she's too busy to talk and I want to ask her stuff..!

7777777 · 26/01/2006 16:44

hi allie, lisa is ringing on monday to confirm that the job is definitely on, i think i might not bother with cheekykidz, the lisa was so nice to talk too and as ive only gone into this for a hobby i dont really wana waste money on other agencies. are you gona go then

alliep30 · 26/01/2006 16:52

doubt it... can't be arsed! Alphabet looks so much nicer

7777777 · 26/01/2006 16:54

love the phrase "cant be arsed"i cant be either, do you think theyl get the hump if we cancel and ask why or you just ring and say i cant make it

sarahmjz · 26/01/2006 16:57
