Hello and welcome to the seventh incarnation of the tearoom.

If you have found us by chance and/or curiousity you must know that the tearoom is a virtual safe haven for all those seeking a friendly word, a good cuppa and plenty to snack on. By virtue of its magic nature, no food can cause any physical damage, so chocolate, alcohol, transfat and all such can be consumed guilt- (and magically calorie-) free.

We have a wide range of soft-furnishing to relax on; a lovely garden with a swing and a ha ha; a variety of animals; a spa and (for some unknown reason) an apidistra.

Everyone is welcome, if you have one child, ten or none at all. We are a tolerant and fisticuffs-free zone. Instead we employ our energies swooning at Mellors the Gardner cum handiman thinking a silly things to get up to.

Way-hay! We're at the seaside!

Folks, this has all gotten a bit too ugly for me. As MadBad and multiple others have said, The Tea Room was started to be a haven (and has been to me), but right now it isn't, it's upsetting. I'm embarrassed because two days ago I suggested starting a thread announcing that I'd flounce if MN didn't help Amber and asking if anyone would join... even if I didn't start the actual thread, I'm afraid I'm somewhat responsible for the kick-off. A few years ago I found myself in a situation like this with my family - I rushed in where angels fear to tread and it was Not Good. I thought I'd learned, but I guess it took another lesson to really drive home the idea that Meddling Is A Bad Idea. I didn't post on, or even see the threads in question because I've been too busy in RL, but will add my apologies to everyone else's because I "marched in with the Tea Room Army at my back".

I think I need a bit of a break.
