Hello everyone. One DS aged 5 and he's lovely. Would have liked more but my body just does not do pregnancy - and am 42 now and a single parent so unlikely there will be any more.

Our dd is an only one too. It's made harder for her because neither of my brothers have (or will have) kids, and nor will dh's sister, so our dd is the last in the line of both families. She feels it quite badly sometimes

T42 - this is a hijack - I remember from a thread a while back that you were vaguely interested in the school my DD goes to - are you still thinking about it (given that inscription is at the beginning of December) and do you want any info or anything?

I don't have to do much 'joining in' with DD yet as she's only nearly 2 (yuk, nearly a Charlie and Lola quote!) but i cut my teeth as it were, on SD who is 9 and thinks I'm in the bee's knees whereas her Dad is 'boring'.

If only she knew!!
