The One-Child Tea Room, version 21... the Hawaiian Islands. Cocktails, anyone?

Welcome everyone to the 21st (!!!) One-Child Tea Room. Not to be misleading, we do have inhabitants who have or are planning more than one! Everyone is welcome.

The usual rules apply: no fisticuffs, or you will be escorted out by Mellors the Hunky Gardener. Depending on your preference, he looks variously like Daniel Craig, George Clooney, David Boreanaz, Gerard Depardieu... I have a feeling we all see something different but whatever we see makes us drool! And considering that this Tea Room is in the Hawaiian Islands, whoever we see is definitely shirtless! :o

Cocktails, non-alcoholic beverages, yummy food that is entirely without fattening effects, and lewd rolls abound in the Tea Room. There is also a full cappucino bar.

This is essentially A Tea Room of Requirement, and we're currently on the lovely sandy beaches of Maui, with beach huts, lounge chairs, cabanas, mango and papaya trees, and of course, lots of coffee directly from Kona.

Pop on in and stay a while. We may all seem a bit mad eccentric but we're very friendly!

A tea room health challenge sounds like a good plan to me.

amberlight · 24/01/2011 11:30

PS we're only 50 posts off needing a new tea room. Get thinking, good folks! Smile

So are we heading to a farm for next tea room then?? Lots of outdoors exercise of the virtual variety for those who need it and a lashings of cream tea for those who desire them. be handy for teh stables, maybe Lady grey and earl grey the horses can make a reappearance and I for one haven't been bison herding for yonks.

Re Fat and Frantic , Technoc, its not nessesarly age and era, they were an obscure band even at their peak. Better live than recorded and most of the gigs seemed to be in London area OR at girls schools. I was besotted from about 16-19 and then they gave it all up and went and got proper jobs. One is now a vicar.

Rejoice with me, we have not yet run out of oil. Watchman electronic thing is knackered so I have to dipstick the tank weekly.

On that note, yes please to a jolly bun and a cuppa.

Ooo, an early spring farm sounds ideal! With nice unseasonably warm weather, of course.

Hurrah re presence of oil!

Hum, Chelsea bun for lunch? Don't mind if I do!

It's amazing how much I get done when a small boy is at daycare! I hate most of my to do list done by 11:30!

Of course, the rest of my to do list is accounting work, so that might take me until daycare run time...

Farm sounds lovely. Although I hate the outdoors. Grin Does it have a nice farmhouse? With a comfy sofa? And footstool?

UniS · 24/01/2011 12:11

if we can hold off hitting 1000 till after i'm back from lunch, i'll write us a farmhouse kitchen.

amberlight · 24/01/2011 13:39

Oh yes, a nice farmhouse with comfy distressed chintz soa and matching footstool would be vital. Probably with a ha-ha in the gardens, too.

Scout19075 · 24/01/2011 14:35

And with big farmhouse type breakfasts?

Mmmm....

Tee2072 · 24/01/2011 14:46

I really need to proofread...

Anyone want to give me an accountant for my birthday? Or a cleaner? Or both? It's next Saturday week, for the record. Grin

A trail of breadcrumbs leads out of the door and across the beach.

LaVieEnTechnicolor · 24/01/2011 15:30

::Goes to investigate::

Will follow breadcrumb trail shortly...
