Didn't there used to be a Gigs thread?

Anyway, just sorted tickets etc for Masta Ace + Live Band (!) at the Jazz Cafe nexrt month. Very excited about that! No late-night train to get home from Euston, sadly, means an overnight London stay, though. Resigning myself to being the oldest in the audience by some distance 😃, but I can live with that.

Morning. Starting looking forward to the autumn gigs which start this week for me. I wouldn't lost everything in going to but I have 12 gigs booked before Christmas. Looking forward to big ones like Fontaines DC and the Strokes. St Ettiene final tour will be emotional. Very pleased to be seeing Jamie T again in December.

I have Bon Jovi, Fontaines DC and The Smyths to look forward to.

Bon Jovi tonight, Phoebe Bridgers with oldest in December (I like her too) and Olivia Rodrigo with youngest next year.

I considered Levellers tomorrow in Brighton but decided I am too old to do 2 days in a row.

Last week did Richard Ashcroft and Fatboy Slim (with a day in between).

Looking forward to the Manics and Suede in November.

That will finish up my year of live music. Then need to think about what's coming next!

I'm on the other side of the world and its we are entering the time when bands are starting their tours here after their European/US tours. Starting with Electric Callboy (with Ice Nine Kills and Coldrain) next Tuesday. I'm so excited!

I envy you Suzanne Vega. One of the best live concerts I've ever seen. She still has an incredible voice and she is so funny between songs. Like a stand up comedian.

I love live gigs but no one I really love is playing right now, except in stadiums and I prefer smaller venues.

I have Moseley Folk Festival tomorrow, mostly to see Super Furry Animals.

@CypressGrove so jealous you get to see Electric Callboy next week - I have to wait until January when hit the UK.

She was stunning as always. She brings me to tears.

I have found my people huge lover of live music here.

We were at Band on the Wall last night in Manchester to see Arrested Development who were absolutely phenomenal.

Today we're going to Manchester Psychfest which is a multi venue festival of small indie bands.

I found on Tinder my ideal man who absolutely loved going to gigs too and we've had two years of ridiculous amounts of amazing live music.

Highlights Stevie Wonder, Paul Weller, The Cure, Pulp, Grace Jones, Paul Simon, Suzanne Vega, Gorillaz, The Killers, Pixies.... actually I could go on and on really.

I'm going to see Yard Act in Bristol in November. Saw them supporting the Hives in Paris last year and they were great. That's all I have planned at the moment. Saw Pulp last years and Nine Inch Nails in the same week, they were both excellent.

I went watching Bastille on my own last week (my family have given up questioning why I go anywhere by myself, and a lot of people have seemed impressed that I have the courage to go by myself, but why should I miss out if nobody else wants to go somewhere?). I am considering The Script if I can get there later this year. I'd have liked to go to Ludovico Einaudi, but the tickets were sold out by the time I found out about it.

@moto748e If you choose to go to the Halifax gig, if they still have all of the roadworks and diversions, and you're not overly familiar with the area, go with plenty of time to spare! It was a nightmare when I went recently!

I'm also going in November to see Yard Act. It will be the 7th time I've seen them live and they are absolutely brilliant. The new album is great - we were very lucky to see it playing in full at a car park in Leeds before it came out.

I am pleased to announce that I am going to see Morrissey in Leeds in December, escorted there by my teenage DS ( I've been very ill the last few years) and he is also a huge fan.
I've seen Morrissey 3 times this will be the 4th.
Really feel like me and DS have something to look forward to! He's very protective of his old DM

Just found this thread! 2026 has been a great gig year for me.

So far I’ve seen Biffy Clyro, Mumford and Sons, Franz Ferdinand, Kaiser Chiefs (those four gigs were all within five weeks), then Yungblud in April and Snow Patrol at the end of July.

DH came with me to some of them but I went to Mumford, Yungblud and Snow Patrol alone.

Just got one left for this year, The Snuts in November and DH has decided to come along to that one even though they’re more my band.

Other than Biffy who we saw in Glasgow, the rest were all at Livehouse in Dundee.

Was it good? I really fancied it but wasnt sure two big gigs in two days want too much for me as didn’t know what time I would get home Friday (Bon Jovi ). I saw an acoustic set from them recently but not the same.
