Sabrina Carpenter Lol GIF by First We Feast

Songs similar to my fave band atm Fontaines DC, who are Irish. The song I've got in my head is:

You know I love that violence
That you get around here
That kind of ready-steady violence
That violent 'how do you do'
And the lie when his Daddy was asleep in a phone booth

Liberty Belle by Fontaines DC

I wanna feel like i'm in The Peaky Blinders, having done some coke and about to have a fight for no reason

Cos there's nothing else to do in my deprived town. Grrrr

I like listening to music like this whilst I do the school run (on the way to get dd/after having dropped her off, of course!) super loud in the car, enjoying my freedom

(Well, the five hours of it i have while dd is at school, obvs)

After pickup, we listen to Matt and Mollie, which is definitely, definitely just as fun!

Skunk Anansie is a personal favourite - Weak being the classic.

EmeraldRoulette · 20/10/2025 20:47

Not sure it's loud enough, but what about The Enemy? You might be looking for something more contemporary as well, they're from aaages ago but still on my playlist

I'll have a think

crumpet · 20/10/2025 20:48

I came on to suggest Liberty Bell!

crumpet · 20/10/2025 20:51

Iggy Pop’s Lust for Life isn’t angry but is good for shouty loudness

mcmuffin22 · 20/10/2025 20:51

Wunderhorse is good. As are Soft Play (formerly Savages). Idles?

RampantIvy · 20/10/2025 20:52
