Sabrina Carpenter Lol GIF by First We Feast

Songs similar to my fave band atm Fontaines DC, who are Irish. The song I've got in my head is:

You know I love that violence
That you get around here
That kind of ready-steady violence
That violent 'how do you do'
And the lie when his Daddy was asleep in a phone booth

Liberty Belle by Fontaines DC

I wanna feel like i'm in The Peaky Blinders, having done some coke and about to have a fight for no reason

Cos there's nothing else to do in my deprived town. Grrrr

I like listening to music like this whilst I do the school run (on the way to get dd/after having dropped her off, of course!) super loud in the car, enjoying my freedom

(Well, the five hours of it i have while dd is at school, obvs)

After pickup, we listen to Matt and Mollie, which is definitely, definitely just as fun!

That’s amazing! I’m go glad you like it. So many awesome songs. I’ll let them know they have a new fan 😃 I’ve seen them live 5 times I think now and they usually come out to chat with fans afterwards and sign stuff. Great guys and music full of passion. Peace Love Truth Music💜

Looking for this! My mind was playing “do they owe us a living, course they do course they do” when picturing this scene.

DareDevil223 · 21/10/2025 15:59

Sleaford Mods, Big Special, Soft Play (formally Slaves), Osees.

She’s touring at the moment. Her solo work is very good.

Oh wow! Thank you. Count me in.

Common People - Pulp
This version is mindblowing.

Oh yes, that is brilliant!

Bring me the horizon, latest stuff first then work backwards unless you are already a deathcore fan.

Enter Shikari

Harduken is fun if a little childish

Prodigy

Everyone knows Tubthumping by Chumbawamba (“I get knocked down, but I get up again… He drinks a vodka drink, he drinks a whisky drink” etc) but how about The Day the Nazi Died by them?

mamagogo1 · 21/10/2025 17:48

Sex Pistols!

You need early Manic Street Preachers for loud and angry. Generation Terrorists is a great album for this mood

Came on here to see if anyone had mentioned this one!

Hell is for Hero's

You would LOVE Bridget, she will be right up your street.

Here's her duet with Pet Needs - The Argument, just to give you a taster. Angry song and an even angrier video too haha

- YouTube

Enjoy the videos and music that you love, upload original content and share it all with friends, family and the world on YouTube.

Came on here to suggest Pet Needs & Bridget - together & separately! Big fan of both. If I remember correctly, that video was filmed in my favourite ever venue, Colchester Arts Centre.

Also recommend lots of Frank Turner's stuff for good shouty sing a long. "The Gathering" "Punches" "Non Serviam" especially

Anything by FFDP

soundsys · 21/10/2025 22:41

Bòreal and Kneecap (albeit neither would appreciate being called British!)

rightoguvnor · 21/10/2025 22:41

Time for Action - Secret affair
a couple by The Style Council, notably Walls Come Tumbling Down
If I was tempted to go American, Take Back the Power by the Interrupters

Carriemac · 22/10/2025 06:18

My Bloody Valentine
Loud melodic angry and quite sweet

IsThistheMiddleofNowhere · 22/10/2025 10:12

I also love Fontaines DC and loud, angry music. If you're not too hung up on the British aspect, then I would suggest Linkin Park (American) - their best albums are Hybrid Theory and Meteora. As a starter, try the track called 'Crawling' from the Hybrid Theory album. The lead singer Chester Bennington suffered with personal demons that manifested in the way he sang, and sadly, he hung himself in 2019 and left an army of fans completely devastated.
