I have Parade but haven't listened to it anywhere near as much as SOTT, lovesexy, 1999 etc... I'm going to listen to it again ASAP.

Oh and I also love the lyrics to Dorothy Parker, I can picture it all in my mind like a film. It sounds so modern, that whole album sounds so ahead of its time

This made me laugh. There's a thread on prince.org about unlikely Prince fans and apparently Bill Oddie was a big fan! Had to google it and found this lovely short piece.

Think I would like to adopt this as a kind of mantra for my life actually.

My absolute favourite album has to be Dirty Mind cos it's the first one I heard and played over and over again, and it brings back such saucy memories from my youth! But whichever album I'm listening to becomes my favourite for that day. Last few days I've been listening to Controversy and I love it, especially Do Me Baby and Jack U Off.

I need to buy Parade next, and also Under The Cherry Moon as I've never seen it and he looks so gorgeous in it.

Have to disagree with Bill Oddie about one thing:

He can move almost as well as Michael Jackson.

I think he's got that the wrong way round!

Is The Gold Experience on tidal? I can't seem to find it. Still completely obsessed with Shhh. Yes Prince, I will scream your name, just try me!
Fav album would have to be SOTT as I know it so well as an album if you know what I mean.

I can't find the gold experience in many places, just looked and it is on Amazon prime for £99! Other sellers selling for £40+. Couldn't find it to download.

I wonder if some of the albums that have long been out of print will ever reprinted again?

I was listening to 3Chains O' Gold last night & there was a line that went (I think):I have 3 chains of gold & they will shine 4 ever.
Out of context with the rest of the song but it made me think that he will shine for ever.

DriveMe the same thing happened with Parade. When I looked on Amazon it was ridiculous prices but now its available for a fiver.
I think there just wasnt the stock the first time

So as far as I can see neither the love symbol or gold experience albums are on tidal, which is strange because I thought it had his whole back catalogue, think those are definitely worth buying, not sure about the album he did with Kim basinger though has anyone listened to that? I wonder how much artistic influence she had, think the song titles speak for themselves!
