There's none from albums like Emancipation, Rave unto the hot fantastic, Rainbow Children, Lotusflow etc, just shows how few pp heard them.

I haven't heard any of those albums. I'm building my collection as fast as I can, starting with the early ones. My plan for today was to listen to his albums in order as much as I could, managed For You, Prince and Dirty Mind and then real life got in the way! I'll have to continue with Controversy tomorrow.

I do love it, I watched the film again the other day

As we thought, Doves Cry no 2!

I think Purple Rain will be top cos it's the one that everyone knows, even if they don't know any other Prince songs, but wasn't this a survey of Prince fans, so they should know loads! Still I can't argue, these top ones are brilliant songs.

I haven't been able to bring myself to watch it again yet.

Well I did have a little cry but I just love the raunchy bits as well so it was a good evening's entertainment for me!

Wonder what prince.org think of this, I bet they'll have some strong words about all the later songs that weren't on this list!

There's just so many to choose from! I haven't heard any of the later ones yet, I'm really enjoying the really early ones, but I'm loving the fact that there's so many more for me to discover!

Ok so I had to get to bed before the end, I'm off on my hols today - just popping to the Emerald Isle for a week (couldn't face any longer than an hours flight with the 2 ds's) no surprises the top 3 great classics, I'm really enjoying art official age, it's really smooth and funky, sounds great in the sunshine especially love 'you know'- looking forward to listening to the hit n run's too...
