So it's a black outline & purple shading in the middle. It took about 50 mins. It was a bit scratchy to start with but ok. I was very brave apparently as ribs are meant to be one of the most painful parts to have a tattoo on! It's quite big, isn't it?! still not told dh! I wonder what he'll say. My body, not his. He'll be fine. I'll get a roll of the eyes I expect! I'll take another photo when it's not so red. Go & get one! It's my 45 1/2th birthday today so a secret treat to myself.

Apparently bepathon (?) the nanny rash stuff is the thing to put on new tattoos. I've got Waitrose bottom butter so I'm going to use that. I'm now thinking ' oh my god. What have I done, it's massive!' it's about 10 times the size I was planning!!! Still, done now. Get over myself. Be more Prince.

Payday here so I've treated myself to the Hits/B sides and Hitnrun Phase 2 at last Having a manic day packing for holiday so just waitin for a quiet few minutes to get listening to them!!

Also just bought the hits/bsides and the love album, shocking to imagine how much money is being generated by the resurge in interest in his music since he died, I just want to buy everything but then again I also think that it would actually be quite sad to owe it all, as there wouldn't be the anticipation of knowing there wIll be some new music in the future, because I guess there won't be though ofcourse there is the vault, which I'm convinced he made particularly so his fans would continue to have new music from him for years after he was gone...

No! He's still not seen!! He was still asleep this morning when I got up & out! Ds2 (7) saw it this morning & his face was a picture. He thought it was an anchor!! he was laughing his head off. I think he thinks I'm a pretty cool mum anyway. And he loves Prince!
