right, just looked them up, look lovely...I know he liked orchids, though I've never been able to keep them alive ....

I already have a lot of purple in my garden too - heather, lavender, hanging baskets brimming with violets which I bought just after he died. I might have a look for something new though to plant on June 7th. What a good way to keep his memory alive.

That's a lovely article butter. Maybe the control he exercised through his music allowed him the freedom to give away - not invest in - the projects he really believed in, that affected his heart and mind. A side of Prince that was kept very quiet at his own request.

That was a lovely article, Ive read a lot about his generosity.

It's interesting isn't it. He was giving of himself in so many ways (ooer!) His shows could have been much lower key & focused on his music & his songs but no, they were life changing experiences for his audiences & he was so selfless in the way he gave stage time to his fellow musicians who clearly he never made feel inferior to him, they were all equal & part of the team. They were there for their audience to give, give, give & not bored mega stars there to simply be adored. Someone in the business as long as him & having very few peers could very easily have become nothing but an ego surrounded by sycophants. (I can't believe I have spelt that correctly!) clearly he was a very special man. We knew that anyway! It's 6 months today since my purple & Prince loving friend died. My heart still aches for both of them.

Tattoo time @ 11:00 tomorrow!! Eeek!
