Just googled and it is Planet Earth.

raracleopatra · 29/04/2016 17:05

Moose just watched that interview with Mel B, it was absolutely lovely!

Cocolepew · 29/04/2016 17:21

OK! magazine has about 30 pages dedicated to him, lots of pictures.

Casey24 · 29/04/2016 17:30

Love that interview with Mel b, I can't get over how young he looks when he must have been 40 (my age now!) truly something magical about him, just can't put into words...I'm starting to be able to watch him without crying every time, just trying to deal with my emotions, never experienced anything like this

Binders1 · 29/04/2016 17:33

Casey I can't believe how young he looks either!

I'm starting to be able to watch him without crying every time - That's what I don't get. I have been able to do this for a few days but today..... I haven't. Sad

lazarusb · 29/04/2016 18:43

binders your post on page 2 made me cry (and I haven't for two days). I hope he wasn't frightened too Sad

AnneEhytMeyer Prince was the only reason in the world that I would have bought the Mail Grin I remember buying it, removing the CD then giving the paper back to the shop assistant!

Had a good chat with ds1 (27) today. He loved Prince too. Except...he thought he was gay. I'm not sure how he missed the blatantly obvious!! (Parent fail?).

poodlefromcatan · 29/04/2016 18:59

Cocolepew that's great! A bit jealous if I'm honest. How's everyone bearing up today? I thought I was a bit better and then went for a run with Purple Rain on my playlist and it all went wrong, crying on a run in public is not fun.

Looking forward to putting the kids to bed and watching Purple Rain tonight with a glass of wine(Dh out).

Destiny I love the link with Mayte!

Casey24 · 29/04/2016 19:07

Binders I think we have to accept we're in a real process of grief and they'll be good days and bad, my auntie just came over and she started talking about it and I just burst into tears, she was lovely though and totally understood - its Bruce Springsteen for her! So I guess we all need our heroes in life..

raracleopatra · 29/04/2016 19:11

Prince programme on red button now

raracleopatra · 29/04/2016 19:17

I've only just put it on but looks like it might all be covers Hmm

raracleopatra · 29/04/2016 19:31

Oh it's not all covers!

Cocolepew · 29/04/2016 19:32

I have been doing ok, haven't cried for days.
DH came in and was looking at my tattoo and asked why I had it up my arm instead of my wrist.
I said because its only for me, I dont care if nobody ever ever sees it, its because Prince was special to me and, I wanted to remind myself and keep him close.
I then cried for 20 minutes.

CuppaTeaAndAJammieDodger · 29/04/2016 19:35

Just watched the Mayte interview - thanks Destiny, she's incredibly beautiful isn't she, clearly smitten with her husband.

Was reading the prince.org board earlier - think DH might be in the denial stage of grief - he's a massive fan but hasn't really reacted at all to his death...hmmm

Destinysdaughter · 29/04/2016 19:42

I think I've accepted it but I'm desperately trying to keep him alive by watching/reading/ listening to everything I can that's Prince related.

My house is a mess right now!

Lovely!

This might sound a bit pathetic but hearing so much about Prince, his life, his faith, his values has kind of made me want to be a better person. Am not religious but wish I had some faith that drove me like it did him.

Is that stupid?

Not at all stupid destinys

I think prince.org say it perfectly we honor the genius musician, the visionary, the icon, and most of all the human that was Prince. He was inspiring on every level.

Binders1 · 29/04/2016 20:25

twig you are right - beautiful. Thank you for posting that.

AnneEyhtMeyer · 29/04/2016 20:34

Thanks for the red button tip. It is great, even though there are a lot of covers. The guy whose name escapes me who wears the hats that look like they have a snood attached singing with Jools Holland made me cry.

It is incredible seeing how people can interpret his work in such different ways and yet they still sound amazing. He was a genius.

Love his writing too. God, everything about him was perfect, wasn't it?

raracleopatra · 29/04/2016 20:38
