Here we are, a week after Prince suddenly passed away. This is a thread to grieve, share your memories, thoughts, stories, videos and songs.

Wow...Been off the thread for a few days, so have quickly read posts.
I've stopped bursting into tears every 5 minutes, but last night I watched the D'Angelo tribute on Ricky Fallon and was in floods again...DH just keeps saying now...'Oh I'm so sorry'... But I can tell he's a bit at just how upset I am.

Darlingnikki Agree...I was just 18 in the summer of 82 and my brother had seen Prince on tele singing Little red corvette. I just fell in love with him.
I'm now 51... Menopausal....Went into hospital yesterday, just minor procedure...I'm fine!!... ( not trying to make this all about ME ) But because of the GA I couldn't sleep last night and was just trawling through pics of him on Instagram of him...he was so beautiful...I'm absolutely devastated he's gone

Also DD who's 27 has taken herself off to South Africa for 2 weeks with work and then is just staying there for a week with a friend to do Touristy things.... I am pleased for her, she's been so excited, but I'll just be relieved when she's home safe.
This last week has been the biggest emotional roller coaster in years!!

Hi everyone. Thank you Destinys for the thread, I love the title and the picture you posted.

I get such comfort knowing that I'm not alone in how I feel! I am a mess! I too feel bad that I drifted away from Prince and feel quilty too. I also am surprised just how bereft I feel. I guess this last week I have remembered just what it was that made me love him in the first place.

Talking of Wendy on the Kiss video I just love the bit on Purple Rain (song) where Prince kisses Wendy on the cheek and they are both fighting back the tears, so touching and sweet.

Please don't panic about the tattoo Coco because it will look different again when it's settled down, all the skin will still be raised now so you can't get a true picture of what it really looks like yet .

Yes Coco don't worry, it takes a few weeks for them to settle and the Dove is so delicate you can always have it tweaked if your not 100% happy.
Had tattoos years ago, so won't be getting anymore now....but black is the easiest colour to remove if your not happy...but I think it's lovely

... but what I really wanted to post was this fab interview with Mel B back in 1998. It's so natural and genuine, cuts right through all the crap that's being written about him.

Hi, another Prince fan here, I have cried every day since he passed, was such a shock. I honestly thought he would be still rocking out in his nineties.

I was lucky enough to be in his presence before a concert back in 2002, he was the most beautiful person I have ever seen up close, by far. He just seemed magical, and obviously the most talented person ever. My jaw was on the floor throughout the entire experience

He really did appreciate his fans. It was obvious, he's left a gap in this world that no one else can fill.

I just watched the beautiful ones with misty Copeland and him at the Brits.

The beautiful ones outfit is so gorgeous. Gold sequins. I'm hoping that all these were kept, somewhere.

Those posts on Prince.org are heartbreaking.

Just dug out that album that he gave away with the Mail on Sunday. No idea what it is called, it doesn't say on the little cardboard cover, but it is lovely. I'd forgotten all about it until today.
