Heart "All I wanna do is make love to you" - where she shags a stranger just to get pregnant.

Or the incomparable Hazzard. Always had my suspicions about what he did with her down by that river.

Anyone else like songs like this??? Grin

ChristmasTrulyReigns my dd knew who RR was from the age of 4, we watched the Band's Last Waltz a lot - she asked me one day if the girl at the check out in the Co-op was Joni Mitchell, dd's favourite was Levon Helm when she was little, she insisted on calling him Jean for some strange reason.

I love Somewhere on the Crazy River too!

Also, completely different, but what was that real weepy one from years ago "We had joy, we had fun, we had seasons in the sun..."?

Isn't Robbie Robertson from the band?

Love them. The Night They Drove Old Dixie Down is one of my favourites.

Copperhead Road by Steve Earle about a soilder returning from Vietenam and instead of going into the family's moonshine bootlegging business decides to go into the drug buisness instead.

No Laughing in Heaven by Gillian Tells of the singers attempts to get into heaven by being good and giving up his current lifestyle only to find that he has to 'pray on the hour every hour!' Fantasticly funny!

PuppyMonkey I can't bear that 'All I want to do' song - it's more cheesy than a Christmas Stilton. I am practically phobic about it!

I do love a song with a story though.
