Pink Parcel and bettybox have asked us to find Mumsnetters to test their monthly subscription boxes with their daughters. To take part, you’ll need to be a Mumsnetter who uses femcare products and/or have a daughter using femcare products.

Some information from Pink Parcel and bettybox below:

Pink Parcel: “Pink Parcel is the UK’s No1 period subscription box that unites periods and pampering to make your time of the month fuss-free and fabulous. Delivered to your door monthly on a day of your choosing each box contains over £40 of femcare and beauty products including a luxe curation of cult beauty brands, herbal teas and artisan chocolates. You can select your choice of tampons, pads or a mix of both from all your trusted femcare brands. This super convenient box ensures you’ll never run out of femcare products again.”

bettybox: “bettybox is the perfect pick me up for girls. As well as all their trusted femcare products, they can expect sweet treats, make-up, stationery and more all from brands specially selected for teens. Choose from all your favourite femcare brands and receive your monthly box with treats worth up to £30 delivered for free directly to your door. You’ll never have to worry about running out of pads again!”

If selected to take part, you’ll need to give your feedback on a thread on Mumsnet as well as completing a short survey. All who complete the required feedback will be entered into a prize draw where one MNer will win a £300 voucher for the store of their choice (from a list).

Please click here to sign up.

Thanks and good luck!

I haven’t received any boxes yet received the emails.

androbbob · 06/03/2018 22:39

I too haven't received my box - booo - feeling left out!!

DD living hers and timing was perfect! All goodies opened and tested and pads tried out! Not sure which brand they are through due to mix up with names, as I am not sure if we got her preference or the preference to the name on the box !1

NeverSurrender · 06/03/2018 22:51

my dd got her box with the wrong name on and wrong products. My box hasn't appeared yet.
I'm annoyed that my preteen daughter's name is on a box of sanitary wear somewhere in the country! Has definitely put me off buying their products in the future, and I've learnt a lesson about giving our names and address to mumsnet!

Chimchar · 07/03/2018 06:47

We had ours yesterday, mine correctly named, dd's not.
The Betty box was broken, and missing the serum.

On the positives, dd had an utterly shit day at school and had a big meltdown when she got in. Going through the boxes together was really fab, and she was really pleased with hers, and fancied the bits in mine too, so it did help to cheer her up a bit. Smile

AllTheWayDown · 07/03/2018 09:15

I haven't received either box and I haven't had an email either. Like a pp said, if I don't get it so can't leave feedback then I hope it doesn't mean I'll be excluded from further product testing...

SillyMoomin · 07/03/2018 09:34

I didn’t get picked to try this, but wowsers, this whole product test backfired for their PR department from the moment they requested testers...!

lovelilies · 07/03/2018 09:43

Mine arrived ok, DDs the next day the box was damaged and wrong name on the label 🙄
Also wrong products inside for her.

Other than that, they're quite nice! Pads/tampons ok, not enough tampons for DD who has heavy periods.
The pads are all scented too which I don't particularly like, and DD won't wear them at all as they irritate.

The gifts were ok. Neither of us will wear the red lipstick though.

DramaInPyjamas · 07/03/2018 09:58

I haven't received any boxes yet either. I have received promotional emails from both Pink Parcel and Betty Box several time in the last few weeks, so I guess my email address has been put on a mailing list database somewhere?
Also quite annoyed that our real names which we trusted MN / PP / BB with are being delivered to random addresses throughout the country.
I hope there is no indication of our MN usernames on the packages?!

AuntLydia · 07/03/2018 10:06

Mine arrived a couple of days ago. Daughter's has just turned up with the wrong name on. Can't honestly remember what I put down as a preference so I don't know if it's the right stuff in it. The box is wrecked though.. Quite badly damaged.

Nousernameforme · 07/03/2018 10:33

Still nothing here. Have had the email about the extra box I'm not overly happy that someone else will get dds name as I'm fairly sure she is the only one named that and it would be easy to find her on social media.

I would also like assurances that if the products do not turn up and can't be reviewed that it won't effect my eligibility for other tests.

BlooBagoo · 07/03/2018 11:39

Ours arrived today. DD's with initials CW (quite an unusual first name). Won't know if it's what DD chose until she's home from school.

InvisibleUnicorn · 07/03/2018 13:02

@Nousernameforme me too! At first I just shrugged about the name thing, but DD has an incredibly usual name and a quick search would bring up where she went to school and her interests. It bothers me a lot now and I wish I hadn't signed her up.

@JustineBMumsnet what are the company saying about data protection?

aristocat · 07/03/2018 13:07

Both boxes have arrived now.

The claim that they'd fit through a letterbox is ridiculous - they are much too deep.

Anyway DDs box arrived with the wrong name, torn and damaged and missing the serum Sad

I requested pads only for myself and there are only 16 in total - I would use more than this every month. If I was a subscriber I'd be rather disappointed and expect more!

First impressions not great sadly.

InvisibleUnicorn · 07/03/2018 13:15

*unusual name

AllTheWayDown · 07/03/2018 13:31

Boxes are here. Dds has got the wrong name (DM) also didn't fit trough the letter box! Will open them later tonight.

FuckyDucky · 07/03/2018 13:44

Our boxes have arrived, will open when DD gets home from school.
Hers has wrong name, initials PWDD.

Belo · 07/03/2018 13:52

DD has just received her box. Having just read the comments below about data protection I quickly crossed it out with thick black pen. The package looks quite damaged, even though the post woman handed it over to me in person...

StewPots · 07/03/2018 14:02

Mine and DD's boxes arrived on Monday. My name was fine but DD's wasn't. Which is quite worrying in relation to data protection - hopefully it's just a blip somewhere...

However, we were both really impressed with the contents of the boxes, DD said she would like one every month so may look into it.

I am hunting for a new monthly sub box as I finished my Birchbox sub in January and this was an ok alternative, although I'd prefer more face products than a teabag if I'm being honest!

All in all, we were pretty happy with what we had, and it's definitely something to think about subscribing to, DD especially keen.

Thanks MN, BB/PP for letting us receive and test these products :)

RoseDog · 07/03/2018 14:04

Dds just arrived with the initials OH, it feels bashed but I'm leaving it for her to open!

LastGirlOnTheLeft · 07/03/2018 14:07

Toomuch sounds like you got my DD's!!

Itis6oclocksomewhere · 07/03/2018 14:41

Just received DDs box. Wrong name, initials LB.
Will see what she thinks when she gets home.

BlooBagoo · 07/03/2018 15:03

Think I would be enjoying the weird coconut snacks more if I hadn't just tried out the lip plumper beforehand. Boy does that sting (I also don't advise absent-mindedly licking your lips when it's on either.)

Didn't expect the facial mist to be such a strong spray either, face was dripping. Already own the facial oil thanks to Glossybox but I dropped my last one and lost a lot so handy to have a top up. Looking forward to trying the other things when I get the chance and decent amount of tampons for me, although I won't use the nighttime pads at all.

Not sure I'm convinced to subscribe just yet, but I would consider maybe swapping from Glossybox as there are similar products but the bonus of the sanitary products. We reuse the Glossybox packaging for storage though, couldn't do that with this box although we would just recycle it.

We're also another with a much smaller letter box as it didn't fit in ours either. Not sure where they got their letter box statistics from.

LastGirlOnTheLeft · 07/03/2018 15:09

Are we doing the reviews on this thread??

RoseDog · 07/03/2018 15:23

@inashizzle I think dd has your dds box, I've just looked back the thread about the 4 letter Spanish name! If so my dd now wants your dds name! She's not home yet to open it though so no idea what's in it!

BlooBagoo · 07/03/2018 15:27

LastGirl - no idea.* My post wasn't a review, I just talk too much sometimes, especially when it involves trying out new things.* Blush
