Pink Parcel and bettybox have asked us to find Mumsnetters to test their monthly subscription boxes with their daughters. To take part, you’ll need to be a Mumsnetter who uses femcare products and/or have a daughter using femcare products.

Some information from Pink Parcel and bettybox below:

Pink Parcel: “Pink Parcel is the UK’s No1 period subscription box that unites periods and pampering to make your time of the month fuss-free and fabulous. Delivered to your door monthly on a day of your choosing each box contains over £40 of femcare and beauty products including a luxe curation of cult beauty brands, herbal teas and artisan chocolates. You can select your choice of tampons, pads or a mix of both from all your trusted femcare brands. This super convenient box ensures you’ll never run out of femcare products again.”

bettybox: “bettybox is the perfect pick me up for girls. As well as all their trusted femcare products, they can expect sweet treats, make-up, stationery and more all from brands specially selected for teens. Choose from all your favourite femcare brands and receive your monthly box with treats worth up to £30 delivered for free directly to your door. You’ll never have to worry about running out of pads again!”

If selected to take part, you’ll need to give your feedback on a thread on Mumsnet as well as completing a short survey. All who complete the required feedback will be entered into a prize draw where one MNer will win a £300 voucher for the store of their choice (from a list).

Please click here to sign up.

Thanks and good luck!

Sharing the data not hating Blush

YesThisIsMe · 05/03/2018 21:44

It is a terrible cockup I agree - but presumably unless you’re actually trans and presenting as male, embarrassment over buying sanpro isn’t because it’s a secret that you menstruate, it’s just because you’re personally embarrassed about buying stuff from the bloke who works at Boots.

inashizzle · 05/03/2018 22:21

RubyLennoxExsist its fine, don't sweat it. I've had mixed up names on my post before- it's really not the end of the world. As no doubt you've read, for the testers, an email has been sent. Posters have only given initials out and I'm wandering how you're finding this a breach. It's a small mistake that they're sorting , that's all!

Also I haven't read Pink Parcel or Bettybox are promoting this as an embarrassment thing , the parcel is discreet in that who wants any parcel to be on show to postie/neighbours etc. Really you're over thinking this, i.e. I'm fine to load a trolley in tescos of sanitary protection, however id be buying into a treat box , with the convenience of fem care.

feetlikeahobbit · 05/03/2018 22:53

Not received DD or my boxes yet, got the email though.

Santasballsack · 05/03/2018 23:05

We got a A.O but was expecting an A.C same first name though so thats a plus! She loved the contents too!

Frombothsidesnow · 05/03/2018 23:48

Well, it's a breach because you gave the company your name for the purposes of sending you products, and they have shared your name inappropriately with other people. You may not feel it's a breach, but it is, and shortly companies who don't look after their data well enough are going to find themselves paying very, very large fines.

The company themselves claim that large numbers of women are embarrassed to buy sanpro, whether on here or on their blog that was linked. I agree that, should this embarrassment be a thing, it's not likely to be compounded by this error. If, on the other hand, someone receives a package addressed to someone they know or even someone a bit famous, that could be enough to out a poster on this thread, and their posts about their piles, and the hot affair they're having with their brother in law.

RubyLennoxExists · 06/03/2018 08:00

inashizzle honestly, I'm not sweating it, and I don't think a mix- up in names in itself is a huge disaster, but it is indicative of BettyBox/Pink thingy not having its systems properly organised, for whatever reason, and that doesn't bode well for its other practices.
And it is a legal breach, of current DP legislation and the new legislation which starts in May.
And the fact that the org does think that embarrassment is one of the motivating factors for women subscribing to their product (personally I don't buy that but it is one of their claims) then there is an irony in them getting names and addresses mixed up.

AlistairSim · 06/03/2018 08:07

Had the email but haven't received any boxes yet.

Rainboho · 06/03/2018 08:32

Have received both boxes, DDs box had the wrong name on as per previous posters. I agree that it is a data protection breach and I’m not very happy about it.

There is no way the boxes would fit through a normal letterbox!

DD likes the treats in her box, but was meh about the pads. Even at 12 she can work out that it would be cheaper at Sainsbury’s! I think it makes me think more of ordering a Birchbox or similar for her. We did get the serum.

The Pink box, again I liked the treats more than anything else, Jelly Pong Pong is fabulous andI am wearing it now. The rose oil is quite nice. Coconut scrapings are blurgh, taste like toenails. Tea bag is meh. Again, a beauty subscription might be better. Also, why does it have to be so...grey and pale pink? Kind of boring. I would prefer brightness!

jaimelannistersgoldenhand · 06/03/2018 10:53

DD's Bettybox arrived. It was addressed to EH (she is MT)

Youvegotafriendinme · 06/03/2018 11:18

Received the Betty box today. Correct items inside addressed to the wrong person. Still waiting my box

AlistairSim · 06/03/2018 12:19

One arrived today but was refused by DP because he didn't recognise the name. Think it was RV?

Nothing else has arrived.

2rainbows56 · 06/03/2018 12:21

Daughters betty box just arrived .Wrong name but seem to be right choices.Box was damaged .

athingthateveryoneneeds · 06/03/2018 12:59

Received ours, but didn't check the name on the second box as I wasn't in when it came and it has disappeared into dd's room. Will confirm later.

PutYourBracesTogether · 06/03/2018 13:59

Still not received DDs box.
Does anyone want my jelly pong lip crayon? I won't use it.

aristocat · 06/03/2018 14:50

PutYourBraces
I’ve messaged you, would love your lip crayon if you still have it please Smile

PutYourBracesTogether · 06/03/2018 14:55

It's your aristocat Smile

athingthateveryoneneeds · 06/03/2018 15:54

DD confirmed we had the wrong name on our 2nd box.

Imgettingcheesefries · 06/03/2018 16:02

Received dds box today, wrong name (sc) postman knocked and handed it to me but I think it would have fit through the letterbox. It was missing the serum but looks to have the right products. She was very happy with the chocolates. Still waiting for mine to arrive

BlooBagoo · 06/03/2018 16:12

Still no deliveries for us so hopefully won't be long. Haven't seen our initials mentioned at all but I did get the email explaining about the mix up.

Raahh · 06/03/2018 20:19

Haven't received anything still. Have had the e-mail though.

I hope that if I don't get it, (and so can't leave feedback) that this won't mean I will be excluded from product tests in the future.

beccy11 · 06/03/2018 20:23

We've not received either of our boxes yet; is anyone else still waiting for both boxes?

Slitherout · 06/03/2018 20:24

Got ours today, wrong name for dd's as well (CR) and missing the serum but otherwise very pleased. DD loved having the surprises with the box, especially the chocs, the moisturiser and the little book. We both the little bags to carry around to fit the pads. The lip crayon is fab and like the look of the face oil, although is it just me that will get through more pads than are in there?

toomuchlikemyusername · 06/03/2018 20:26

Two boxes received over the past two days. Thank goodness for a tolerant neighbour as he's had to take in both as, yes, too big for the letterbox here as well!
Mine was addressed correctly but DDs was wrong (MM anyone?)
The products look interesting and DD is looking forward to a proper trawl through both.
The address mix up is a bit shambolic and the letterbox claim seems to be a bit of a nonsense.

Will feedback properly in due course.

CrackersDontMatter · 06/03/2018 20:28

We haven’t had either box yet but did get the email about the mix up.
