Hello. We're extremely honoured (and just a little bit over-excited) to announce that royal bride-to-be Kate Middleton is coming to MNHQ for a webchat today at 1pm.

A while back, we put in a formal request for Kate to take part in a Mumsnet webchat (nothing ventured, nothing gained and all that) but, truth be told, we weren't that hopeful, given her other pressing engagements this week.

But then, this morning, the Buckingham Palace Press Office rang to say Miss Middleton had some time this lunchtime between her last dress fitting and her first palace-balcony-etiquette briefing - and would be delighted to drop in and chat to Mumsnetters. Apparently, she's been lurking on Mumsnet quite a lot recently and has been finding the Bridezilla discussions a real eye opener. Shock

So, quick, please post your (suitably deferential) questions for Miss Middleton here - and join us for our very first royal webchat at 1pm.

I am so fucking embarassed about how fawning I seemed.

I watched a montage of pictures of Will and Kate last night set to rousing music and I had a little tear in my eye.

DP said I am a wanker. he is right.

Thingumy · 26/04/2011 13:00

and STILL people post questions....

MmeSurvivedLent · 26/04/2011 13:01

Oh dear.

I do think that more is being made out of this than is strictly necessary.

Print off the nice bits of the thread and send to the Palace with a bottle of champagne (as someone suggested up thread) with MNetters best wishes.

And give is tiara emoticons.

Done.

Hello everyone and thank you for allowing me to come on to your website today. I understand there has been some unpleasantness but hope we will have some fun over the next hour.

PinotGrigioBlush One has seen your post and applauds your caring actions to the kittens. I do hope you get to keep one - kittens are scrummy. :)

Everyone who has asked about something old/new/borrowed/blue - yes I will be following this. My mother has given me an antique diamond pin which will be fastened to my dress, the dress is new, some of my jewels are borrowed and the blue you will have to guess at. Wink

Why am I on Mumsnet - well is this not the place for ladies who wish to learn and speak to others about their experiences of life? Besides which, I really will need some help planning what I hope will be a large family.

Please bear with me while I scroll through your questions. :)

I don't think something has to be that serious or conspiritorial to be contemptuous. I just don't find it that funny...

felicity10 · 26/04/2011 13:01

GitAwfMayLend I think they've polished off the cooking sherry, sherry vinegar and are currently working their way through a sticky bottle of unidentified liqueur found at the back of the stationery cupboard which someone brought back from holiday last year.

Casey76 · 26/04/2011 13:01

I've a question, why is your box that nasty orange colour?

OeufaBrain · 26/04/2011 13:03

whoops, that'll teach me to read whole thread before posting.! And to think I bit my tongue and posted something neutral rather than 'so is your family contributing anything towards the wedding, or is it all down to the peasants?''

happymole · 26/04/2011 13:03

Pretend Kate Middleton did you watch the crapfest Wills and Kate movie?

pawsnclaws · 26/04/2011 13:03

Well I for one am relieved. I was worried our future Queen might see my post about ds2 accidentally colouring her face Smurf blue instead of her dress and then drawing a crown on her head that looked like a giant bum.

I thought I might be celebrating the wedding day with my head on a spike at the Tower of London.

DontdoitKatie · 26/04/2011 13:04

Awww, people were being nice because she's getting married. It's supposed to be a happy event.

She should still run like mad in the opposite direction mind you.

HollyBollyBooBoo · 26/04/2011 13:04

Are you serious, changed my plans to go out this afternoon, dumped DD in office with DH, made lunch and sat down...to this?

Am not happy, not happy at all.
