Don't suppose anybody anybody in Wakefield area is free to be a witness at our wedding tomorrow afternoon?

That's it really. We're running away and getting married by ourselves with the DC (you can't really call it eloping when it's Wakefield ) tomorrow afternoon.

We were going to accost people in the street and still will if this doesn't work but thought we'd give it a shot here.

We can offer you a free glass of bubbly in return

We also got married in secret apart from two friends who were our witnesses - it's definitely the best most stress-free way to do it

Wish we'd thought of getting witnesses off mumsnet, what a fab idea (I wouldn't go along with DH's suggestion of dragging tramps and drunks strangers off the street )

many congratulations mr and mrs robino! you all looked so happy and lovely - may it continue always. we did this 17 years ago and never regretted it and now have a gorgeous son! we threw a party the next day for everyone and then made an announcement - my mum was disappointed for a bit but then came round - your ceremony brought back many happy memories .......
