Norman's office has been turned into a polling station. Brian and Len are checking off the voters against the electoral roll. Ken is conducting the exit poll. The candidates are:-

Norman the Foreman (Tea drinking party)
Bossy Ross the lifeboat coxswain (Lifesaving party)
Michael the beach policeman (Law and order party)
Jack Jellyhead the robber (Legalise robbery party)
Father Christmas (Christmas all year round party)

Early results from the exit poll suggest that the tea drinking party and lifesaving party are doing rather well.....

Im voting for bossy ross in the hope that if elected he can diversify into law and order also and also think he wil be good at drinking tea as i imagine sometimes he waits about alot in the cold. Also i like the name as i really like Ross in friends and Ross Kemp so there you go. Looking closely also he looks like he HAS NOT had botox.

47 Playmobil people in our house (only those over 18 were polled of course) voted for Norman. The two Father Christmases voted for the Christmas All Year Round Party. The eight or so under the sofa abstained. It looks like a Norman landslide.

I haven't voted in real life yet (will be off shortly) and am still undecided.

But in this election Norman has my vote. I only wish he were a candidate in RL.

I too am strangely drawn to Michael the beach policeman, purely on looks, very shallow I know but if Norman likes him that's good enough for me. My x is in Michael's box.

I'm voting Bossy Ross because dh has been rescued by a lifeboat before now.

Now must be a suitable moment to tell you all about the Playmobil elections my brothers and I used to hold. DB2 had far more people than the rest of us (because he was the younger and spoilt) but each bloc had one vote. When DB2 worked out he was disadvantaged by this electoral system he had a horrendous tantrum and ran round the house screaming 'I want proportional representation!!!!'

we have lots of ELC Happyland people - they would like to form an alliance with Edgar's Little People to try to get suffrage. Even though Little People are a bit weird and fat looking.

little people

i think any statement beginning 'i'm not a bigot buut..' is bound to end in bigotry!

why shouldn't they have the vote? Are they not plastic? If you scratch them, do they not lose colour? If you chew them, do they not deform?

I'd like to see a coalition government with Jack and Michael TBH, but looks like Norman will win the majority. So therefore I vote Jack.

ROFL at this thread

hooray hooray Norman the Foreman at last gets his moment in the spotlight.

I have had several previous encounters with Norman and he is very much a delegator. I've NEVER seen him doing even a spot of work, he's always sat on his backside with his trusty mug.

However he is true to his policies and after discussion with the playmobil pony ladies and the dolphin trainers we are giving our vote to Norman.

GO NORMAN

EdgarAllen if you continue along those lines then you'll get the My Little Ponies voting and the My Littlest Pet Shop.

There'll be CHAOS. Those ponies are right mean brutes (think Zanu PF).

And don't let anyone mention the lego people.

Everyone knows lego people and playmobil people cannot mix.

Eggarallenpoll - sorry if i have offended you but its just not right - they stand completely differently with fixed limbs not allowing for free movement - a completely different breed - i agree with other posters - its a playmobil election ffs it will be Weebles before we know it if we let the little people in.

But they aren't people ..
No-one's suggesting extending the vote to Ponies (which are more like rubber anyway, aren't they?)

I just feel th little people, who are deemed capable of driving cars, fire engines an trains, are equally capable of voting.

A vote here for Bossy Ross as my DS is a lifeboat man. He has a letter from his mummy saying he is not allowed out on the sea if it's rough .

I bet some of your best friends are Little People, no?

Your candidate list is not sufficiently diverse, I find myself unable to vote.

Ok well what are the candidates views on a referendum after all this to see if little people/ weebles and happy landers should be given the right ?
