How often does your OH think about the Roman Empire?

saw on Facebook a post saying that men think about the Roman Empire every day. The woman asked her husband and he said this was true and that he thinks about it daily. The comments was people asking their husbands how often they think about the Roman Empire with some very funny responses 😂

So, I’ll start .., I’ve just asked DH and he said “at least twice a week, why?”

Asked DH & he said rarely. He's not very interested in history though.
Me, on the other hand, probably every week - love the Roman Empire (did Classics at Uni). Today in fact, was talking to DD about the origins of Halloween & referenced the Roman gods.
I loved it when DD was doing the Roman Empire at school last year - I sooo wanted to do the homework!! 😆

My husband, probably not a lot.

I only really think of it if I'm driving on a roman road. Or watching a quiz show with a question about it.

My parents and siblings however...honestly probably everyday.

Dh says as often as he thinks about cavemen which is once a week 😂

Yep, mine didn’t look up from eastenders and said “At least once a week depending on what I’m doing” 😂

Just asked DH who answered ‘rarely’ but when I asked DS he actually coloured up as he admitted that ‘now you say that, so often that it’s probably weird’ 😂😂😂

I think about it pretty often, almost every time I see silly things in the news. ‘Panis et circenses’ - it worked then and the population still falls for it today.

DH says ‘a lot actually’. I’m so surprised, I really thought he was going to say never. I asked in a mostly male group chat and they all said yes to ‘almost daily’

DH is currently rethinking our relationship now that he understands that he thinks about the Roman Empire multiple times a day, and I never do. “I don’t even know who you are anymore!”

The Romans never got to Ireland? I never knew that! I don't know why but I would have totally assumed they did.
Going to ask DP when he gets off work, although I never get a straight answer from him about anything, he generally just agrees with whatever I accuse him of. " Do you think about the Roman Empire daily"? " Yes". Is how I imagine that will go.

roman empire, quite often since I saved one of my close friends as brutus on my phone. but my main obsession is Sci fi....

I'm not a man though. maybe I would be more interested in the roman empire if I was? although none of the men I know seem particularly bothered by it
