How often does your OH think about the Roman Empire?

Just for fun

saw on Facebook a post saying that men think about the Roman Empire every day. The woman asked her husband and he said this was true and that he thinks about it daily. The comments was people asking their husbands how often they think about the Roman Empire with some very funny responses 😂

So, I’ll start .., I’ve just asked DH and he said “at least twice a week, why?”

Just asked my DH and he showed me the book in his hand...'Dynasty the rise and fall of the house of Cesar'
Definitely every day

Just asked DP - “every day” was his response. Also confirmed he was being deadly serious with his answer and when asked why he would think about it every day, it’s because his commute involves a Roman road.

It is very interesting. Ireland was quite a rich and cultured region and they have found Roman products in Irish high status graves around Dublin. The Romans were able to sail all round it and produce accurate maps showing the different tribes. There’s no evidence of settlers, as in no Roman graves as far as I know.

Me: Really?!

"Haha, no. Probably like.. every other day?"

I do wonder, intermittently, why, after the Romans brought us central heating and showers, we still didn't have either in my home in the 1980's.
Obviously I'm too lazy to properly research this. But it does puzzle me.

My husband said 2/3 a week instantly. This is a fascinating thread! 😆

He also said there probably is an equivalent for women.... thoughts on what random subject we all think about frequently?

As expected, my DP said never. And probably now thinks I am very weird for asking.

My other half just replied ' not more than twice a day'.

I feel like now I have more questions than answers!

My husband said he had been recently been thinking about the Roman Empire on separate occasions because of carrier pigeons, drains and tomatoes!

My DH says 'well I've thought about it twice today, but generally not too often'

I had an ex who was adamant that at any given time, there was a 50% chance a man was thinking about what he would do in the situation if they were a spy ...

This is hilarious. I want to know what they're thinking about?

Thought this was ridiculous then realised I thought about it this week....

I think about the Holy Roman Empire at least a few times a week <happy sigh> and I am female (or what passes for it).

I have no husband but decided to ask a friend and he said "naw, it's the Nazis here" so it appears I am more manly than him.

Yep. Just asked DH and he confirmed every day, pretty much around the ‘what have the Romans ever done for us?’ But yes… he thinks about it daily. So funny.

DP said never, looked at me as though I was mad and asked why I was asking. He's now listening to me reel off some of the other responses.

Now if I'd asked him how often he thinks about football...

I just texted my df to ask him, as I’m sure my dh would section me if I posed this question.

My husband looked snotty and said he prefers to think about the Anglo-Saxons.

Then he looked at our baby and said veni vidi sleepy and pissed himself laughing.

I'm going to go with he thinks about it a lot.

DH says a lot when he goes to Rome (where he is from) and quite often when in the UK, especially when driving on the Foss Way.

Just asked my DH and he looked at my like I'd lost the plot and said absolutely never!
