To ask your "glitch in the matrix" moment?

I had a glitch in the matrix last night whilst dying my hair, I took the nozzle off the bottle and put it on the sink and then I mixed the dye etc and when I went to get the nozzle it was gone, I moved everything off the sink, looked on the floor but it was gone so I managed without and then once the hair dye was on I found the nozzle on the sink on top of something I'd moved and I swear it wasn't there before! Not a major event but it was a bit weird.

Do you have any glitch in the matrix stories? (Basically unexplained events)

Remembered another. I was at home and my parents were staying too. In the middle of the night, about 4am, the fire alarm went off. I checked everything. No fire anywhere. Switched it off. And it happened again. My dp was on a sailing boat at the time. I decided to call to check he was OK. Turns out he'd just been through a very sketchy situation where he had narrowly escaped the path of a very large boat. He was shaken up and appreciated the call. I think it was one of his deceased family deliberately trying to get me to call him.

About 15 years ago, I was with my friend in her flat, and the radio was on. Lady marmalade was playing. Her phone started ringing, and the ringtone was lady marmalade - it started ringing in exactly the correct part of the song. Really weird.

Love this thread. I only really have one that I can remember and it's more woo than glitch...

Best friend was pregnant but not imminent. I woke up in the middle of the night with really intense period type pains (period not due) and just knew she was giving birth. Next morning got the phone call to say BF's daughter had been born...

DH was taking something to bits in the dining room and put two screws on the windowsill. He went to do something else briefly and came back to find the two screws had vanished. He assumed they’d rolled and dropped down the back of the radiator onto the floor, but no. Looked everywhere, on the table, all over the floor. Gazed out into the garden trying to think where they could be, when something caught his eye.
It was the two screws, in the same position as he’d left them, but on the OUTSIDE windowsill.
He hadn’t opened the window or been outside. 🤷🏼‍♀️
To this day we have no idea how they got there.

I have one. I was watching Emerdale a few months ago and one scene came on with a bit that didn’t make any sense to the scene or storyline so it confused me a bit but I didn’t think much about it. But the next night I was watching it and a scene came on with the same bit from the night before. It made complete sense the second time round. I even watched the first episode again to see if this added bit was in it but it wasn’t.

Out of body experience ?When I was newborn I remember being high up looking down at myself .weird I know .I could tell you every detail about my parents room as I was lying on the bed screeming ,there’s no way I would remember that room as we moved from there when I was 2 .There’s no recordings or pictures about either .

I was once on my own in my family home, family were all on holiday and only I had keys. I was making jam. I came to put it in jars and couldn't find half the lids, so I left the lidless jars in the pantry and went to bed. Got up in the morning and all the lidless jars now had lids screwed on tight and in every jar was a dead spider.

We used to live in another country and I was a nurse who went out to see people at home, sort of like a district nurse.
Weirdly each time I saw a house that I thought something was interesting about, such as one had a nice front garden, one had a Shetland pony in the field next to it, one had lots of trees around it etc etc, I ended up going out to that house as a nurse a few months later.
It used to make me feel guilty for liking houses as I drove to other homes as someone was going to end up sick there for me to see.
It's not like I drove round looking for nice or interesting homes, It's like they called out to me to look at them.

This might seem a bit random and boring but it really freaked me out at the time, it still does to be honest. I was watching TV one Saturday with my DH and DD (16) and the masked singer came on. It's not something we watch and I was going to switch channels but the start showed that Duck was in this episode, so I said to my DH I'd quite like to watch this one as Duck was Skin from Skunk Anansie, a band we both liked back in the day. I clearly remembered having seen clips from it when she took her head piece off and you could see that it was Skin, so thought it was a repeat. Well it wasn't a repeat, I looked online and it was the first time this episode had been on. I even looked on Twitter where people were trying to guess who the characters were including Duck. Well, she gets voted out and removes the headpiece exactly as I had seen and it was Skin. Totally freaked me out, even my very sensible DH was a bit weirded out by how I knew. I spent a lot of time looking online and there had been no leaks by the papers etc but there hadn't been. I had 100% seen it before. Still can't explain it.

We lived in a basement flat when I was a student. It was THC old kitchens of a large house and still had the old range and York stone wine cellars at the back.
I never felt comfortable on my own their and always felt I was being watched.
One day I walked through to the kitchen and caught sight of a ball of light floating by the ceiling. As soon as I rounded the corner it exploded in a flash. I felt the explosion on my face. My housemate was walking into the room though the opposite door and was the bang made them duck behind the door frame.
To this day I have no clue what it was. We checked that none of the light bulbs had exploded, all the plug sockets were still working. Absolutely no idea.......

I have a completely repeatable glitch that happens several times a day.

We have a mirror which refuses to reflect me!

It’s a full length mirror mounted on the wall of our large square hallway opposite the kitchen door, so I pass it several times per day. If reflects everyone else, just not me.

We have come to the conclusion that maybe the mirror is slightly concave, and I am a few inches shorter than other family members, so must be a trick of how the light reflects/refracts.

If I stand in the kitchen doorway you can see the doorway and the room behind me, but not me. I don’t appear in the mirror at all until I have walked diagonally across the hall, and then you can see me just disappear from the edge of the mirror.

It is all completely repeatable, so we have experimented with it. We have tried having my husband or son stand exactly in my place (they are visible standing in the spot where I wasn’t), having one of them stand directly behind me (they are fully visible, I am not).

It’s a long running source of amusement now, primarily because the mirror was inherited from DH’s grandmother, who disapproved of me. So we joke that maybe she is passive-aggressive ignoring me from beyond the grave (but seriously, if must just be a combination of my height with a flaw in the mirrors surface).

This defies the laws of physics.

You can test it with someone your height by dh or ds stooping down to your height.

We had both dreamt we were in the same place, our old school, not far from my house, the school was an old stately home more than 150 years old. We were in some sort of stable hiding from something and someone, I recall bombs being dropped. I can still see the door of the stable now, only half a door with planks of wood across it to keep it closed.

Also, around the same time I had a very weird dream that Jesus kissed me. We were outside a cave on a hill side near a white rock and he was there,holding my face kissing me. Woke up feeling very strange but very content and full of love. I'm not at all religious btw, although I do cry and feel overwhelmed every time I go in a church.

I had gone to Liverpool for the weekend with my partner. I don’t drink so was totally sober. He was drunk. We left the cavern club (we were being touristy) at 1.30 or 2 and our hotel was two streets away so at most a ten minute walk with a drunk. We didn’t get in until half three. We went straight there without stopping. It was all very strange. I joke we were abducted by aliens but a glitch in the matrix might account for it

Did you go via Bold Street? There are many weird timeslip anecdotes from there.

Every time I talk about my friends deceased partner with her, a lightbulb in my house explodes. I don’t mean just stops working, a bulb quite literally explodes. It’s not dodgy wiring or bulbs as they can be different rooms.

The same thing also happens to her sister. She had no prior knowledge of it happening to me & corroborated that it also happens to her.

In my second year of uni, I moved into a privately rented flat with a friend.

Her boyfriend was a drug dealer who the police were searching for and he stayed over most nights. This bit sounds dodgy but they used to listen to the same evil song on repeat. It really scared me.

One night, as I was sleeping, I felt my body rise from the ground as I was sleeping (I didn't have a bed at the time).

I heard loads of angry voices but I felt completely at peace floating above the floor. Slowly, the voices disappeared and I was lowered back down.

When I woke up the next day, I found out my friend and her boyfriend had been arrested on drug charges. There had been a raid on our flat. Doors broken, flat tipped upside down apart from my room, no lock.

I honestly believe I was 'kept safe' by the Lord. I moved out that day and took my friends fish who went on to live with my nan.

I can't explain it at all. I know it happened.

Friend and her drug dealer boyfriend had been storing huge amounts of cannabis in our flat. I assumed the smell came from our neighbours.

I read the police report, it said it was a 2 bedroom flat and only 2 occupants were present.

About 4 years ago there was a bad storm and I'm quite anxious anyway but I was trying to call my dp. He didn't answer but an older lady did, she said hello I said hello and I said sorry I'm after my husband let's call him Paul and she said why are you calling off my husband Paul's phone? I said no I'm calling off my phone trying to get hold of my partner Paul. We were both so freaked out by it. We hung up and called again and got each other. We could only assume there was a crossed wire with the storm, but the same name as we were both trying to get hold of our dh dp called Paul... Freaky.
Dp called me soon after from the car and I told him the story, he was so shocked.

This also happened many years before when I was a teenager and listening to the radio on my Nokia, I picked up our land-line and heard my mums friend tell her on the phone that someone we knew had died.

Very weird

I was 15 at the time and living at home with my parents. I had went up to bed and I shut my eyes not yet asleep and I saw clear as anything me waking up the next morning to get ready for school, go into the bathroom, the house phone rings and my dad answers says a few things and then come into the bathroom and says to me 'that was your auntie on the phone, blank has died' it was like bleeped out the way he said it.

I woke up the next morning started getting ready for school and this all happened the exact same way, the same time and everything expect I found out who it was this time 😣🤷🏻‍♀️

I had a dream about Michael Jackson doing few hours before the news came out to say he was dead . Super weird and makes me nervous thinking about it.
