Is this positive?!

I’ve name changed for this. I am due in hospital tomorrow for a colposcopy because of periods being all over the place. Just decided to do a pregnancy test just to be on the safe side.
DH and I were told earlier this year it was very unlikely we could conceive due to my age and low AMH levels.

Was not expecting this. I’m not going nuts am I? Is this positive? Is there any way it could be wrong?

DH is at work & I can’t talk to him for a couple of hours. Am shaking.

Is this positive?!

I thought the green ones were ovulation sticks

It was definitely a pregnancy test. My large, six months pregnant belly is proof!
😂
The green one was a cheapo pregnancy test I happened to have in a drawer.

Wow 6 months already! Won't be long now. Baby walrus is 1 next month and it just seems like yesterday I had her on the living room floor as she was in a hurry 😂

I’m going to go out to buy another better one just to be sure. One of those clear blue ones maybe.

Don't have a whole shoebox full like on Gavin and Stacey. No period and one positive test means you are pg. Spend the money on another pg test on a cuddly or first outfit, that's what I did

Edit, just realised dates. Hope all is going well, but my post still stands for anyone else getting a positive test.

@DancinOnTheCeiling I'm good thanks! Just coming up to 28 weeks with a very visible bump. I have a 28 week scan next week, but all seems to be going ok and I'm feeling pretty good. He is moving around a lot now which is nice and a bit weird.
We start an antenatal course next week, which we're quite looking forward to.

@RedHelenB I only did three tests in the end. I don't think that's too excessive Smile
My periods were all over the place and the odds were stacked against me getting pregnant naturally so it wasn't quite as simple as missing a period. I just couldn't believe a positive test could be real. But it was and here we are!

Hi @SpaceFarce
Funnily enough I was thinking I must do an update tomorrow as I have a 32 week scan.
Will let you know how it goes but touch wood all is well 😊
I have a very obvious bump now. Have generally been feeling pretty good, although was really suffering with piles last week after starting on iron tablets. Pregnancy is very unglamorous at times isn’t it?!

Lovely to hear it @Omgwhatthehell! Pregnancy was never very glamorous for me either but it was utterly worth it. Thank you for updating - would love to hear after you’ve had your scan!

Lovely to see your latest update! Hopefully you will see some lovely pictures of your little baby boy tomorrow, and things are going just as they should.
Pregnancy, has all these things like, piles, indigestion, cramps and aches but it’s so worth it. 💙

I think from 32 weeks is the tough part, but then I was always struggling with my size at that point. I never found pregnancy glamorous.

Sorry to jump on randomly @Omgwhatthehell but I saw that you mentioned up thread that you're having extra scans because you contracted covid.

I just wondered how this came about? I had covid at about 11-12 weeks and mentioned it to my midwife but haven't been told about any extra scans or monitoring etc?

Thanks!

@sazzy5 I don’t think anyone finds it glamorous do they? Grin I shouldn’t complain because I have had a relatively easy ride so far.

@grosgirl When my midwife checked in on me whilst I had Covid I was just told that I get an extra scan because I’d had Covid whilst pregnant.
So it might be worth checking with your midwife? Or maybe different areas do things differently?
I have one tomorrow and another booked at about 37 weeks.

I also had an extra scan (or maybe even two, I can’t quite remember) scheduled because of my age. I believe it’s to keep an eye out for the placenta working correctly. We haven’t questioned it and have just gone along with it as it’s reassuring to have the checks.

Finally! A bloody heartwarming thread on here that’s properly warmed my cockles. Much love to you and your DP.
have to say, my parents were in a similar situation many years ago. 15 years they were married and had given up when suddenly out of the blue I turned up. Mum was 40. She always said the reaction of friends and family was amazing.
congratulations x

Just back from our 32 week scan. Baby OMG is looking good!

They estimated his weight to be 4lb 8oz, which is apparently normal.
He is breech but I understand there's still time for him to move. We'll see what's happening at our next scan in a month.
