I’ve name changed for this. I am due in hospital tomorrow for a colposcopy because of periods being all over the place. Just decided to do a pregnancy test just to be on the safe side.
DH and I were told earlier this year it was very unlikely we could conceive due to my age and low AMH levels.

Was not expecting this. I’m not going nuts am I? Is this positive? Is there any way it could be wrong?

DH is at work & I can’t talk to him for a couple of hours. Am shaking.

Baby boy, congrats! I have my scan in 2 weeks and I can't decide if I will find out or not, I can think of good things either way. I have covid now too :( feeling v rough with it. Glad you got over it

Oh I hope you feel better soon @irishfarmer it's rotten getting it when you are pregnant.
I only felt really rough for a few days, so hopefully you'll improve soon.

I feel like knowing the baby's sex is helping me bond more, but I'm sure it would also be lovely to have the reward of finding out on the day!

I love this thread. I too was an older mum with a surprise boy at 40. Said boy is now taller than me and a teenager, and I also had a cat glued to me during pregnancy! I wish you all the best!

All is good with me!
I’ve still got a cat glued to me most of the time bless him. I tried to have a nap late this afternoon and he jumped on my chest to join in, purring really loud and waking me up.

I have definitely been enjoying getting everything prepared for the new arrival. We’ve got most of the big stuff sorted and I’ve been picking up some lovely sleepsuits and baby grows.

I’m just over 25 weeks now and my bump has really popped out over the last week. It’s hard to believe it’s still got a lot of growing to do.
I’m feeling pretty good though, touch wood. Just a bit tired every now and then.
I’m torn between not being able to wait to meet our little one, and wanting to have enough time to make sure everything is ready for him!

Will keep you all posted.
