can anyone give this sweet little girl a new home?

[Gatekeeper]

She has been living in our wood store for the last few weeks and for the last two we have been leaving food out. We put details up on local facebook pages, leaflet dropped and put posters up in local shop etc. No-one came forward so I took her to local vet and had her scanned for a chip. Nothing there and the vet told me she has a cigarette burn on her neck

she is beautiful, friendly and sweet- a fluffy tabby with the foxiest brush of a tail. Vet reckons she is around eight months old

we cannot keep her as our boy is an only cat and detests all other cats. He will go walkabout if she stays as he's done that to previous owners. She is very sweet with him and is well socialised

I’m so glad this is going to classics. Heidi honestly looks like she’s ‘home’. It’s such an amazing thing you have all done, Gatekeeper rescuing beautiful Heidi and caring for her and Mr & Mrs Stewpots for going such a long way to giving Heidi her forever home. Incredible people.

Thanks so much for all of you suggesting this thread to classics! It's such a bizarre tale that doesn't seem to make sense and yet it does! She is sitting on the window at the moment, being very nosy and sniffing a lot! DD is in love and desperately trying to get photos for Snapchat 🙄we are talking louder to eachother now and she doesn't seem bothered in the slightest - we are preparing her for 6.30am when DS gets up but he will be told swiftly to KEEP QUIET!

Just one thing that has been worrying me slightly, but when Gatekeeper took her to the vet, was there anyway to tell whether or not she has been spayed?

@BoreOfWhabylon that was the next step, but then everything happened so quick! So after she's settled in a week or so we will take her down to check and if not book her in we will get her microchipped on that visit too :)

Phew! Just worried as she's been out in the big wide world on her own.

Careful on the airer - our mini-beasts (both 6 months old) treat it as a climbing frame. Not that we stop them because we're soft and find it as cute as it is irritating. I just keep my tights well clear...

She loves the window! And yes to the airer! She wasn't brave enough once she looked at it properly and it's been moved now so she lost her chance yeah she's totally unfazed so far!

She’s a beautiful cat, I’d love to have had her, but our house is on a road that seems to attract cats & cars in equal measure, sadly there’s no prizes for guessing which come off worse.

This is wonderful! I am so jealous of how easily Heidi travels. My boy would be having none of it!

Morning all! Well Heidi has been chittering and meowing for most of the night at us but not in a stressed way - more in a "wake up and love me now" way. She hasn't slept much but then she spent yesterday asleep and this is all new and exciting so I didn't think she would!

It's very windy here this morning so she is spying out the window at the trees moving :)

She really is a beautiful cat! And so lovely that she found you and you found her. ❤️❤️❤️

also to gatekeeper, I know it was difficult for you to let her go.

Heidi didn't sleep much the first night here either but after that was content to lie next to me all night, chirruping at me when she saw me awake

Sherlock went outside to see Mr & Mrs StewPots off yesterday to make sure Heidi was def going

And did he come back in dusting off his paws having seen off the interloper?

Hehe she's met the boy! And is not bothered in the slightest. Headed over to his bed, jumped on and off a bit and has let him stroke her :) DS is totally chuffed to meet her!

Morning @Gatekeeper yes lots of sitting around today Heidi hasn't ventured to the sofa or anything yet but has crept downstairs. She is a chatty little thing isn't she she didn't bother to check we were awake, just straight in there with her face in mine meaowing right in it oh and pouncing on DH to get to the window
