I slept with my best friend last night

and now I have no idea what to do Blush

We haven't spoke to each other since last night as we've both been working today but I'm not sure if I should contact him first or should I wait for him to contact me?

I don't know what he thinks about it and whether he thinks it meant something or it was just a casual one night stand. I'm not even sure I know tbh Blush

Should I mention this to him or just forget it ever happened and continue on as normal?

But Jess MN needs to know when we can all start buying wedding hats Wink

horseygeorgie1 · 26/10/2016 21:21

Aww lovely!

I slept with my best friend. We've only been together a few months but I'm head over heels and know he is the one! Best thing ever.

cheval · 26/10/2016 21:30

I did similar, not a best friend but with a longstanding male friend, post marriage breakup. We no longer speak...But he was being predatory. If your friend is a better sort, speak to him to clear the air, one way or the other, you need to know if it was a one off or something more. Good luck!

Justaboy · 26/10/2016 21:33

So friend zone to lover zone then?.

Perhaps that's a very good way to go about a long term marriage match rather than the our eyes locked across a crowded room and i knew he was the one etc?.

Y/N or Maybe?.

piglet True...... Can I have a fascinator? A discreet one?

AVirginLitTheCandle · 26/10/2016 22:01

Wow wasn't expecting to return to so many replies again Shock

I haven't read through them all yet but thanks for all the positivity on this thread. I feel like a love struck teenager again 😊

Am a bit wary about a new relationship after being single for so long especially as my last DP was an emotionally abusive twat but of course I know not all men are like that. And I've known Mr Electrician for years so I know him well.

It's been a long day so am off to have a bubble bath and some wine Wine

This is just lovely. Have lots of fun whatever happens. Wine

Bananasinpyjamas1 · 26/10/2016 23:24

I agree with imperial! If you can be cheeky enough OP, it will definitely take the stress and awkwardness out of the situation. Which is what you want, right? Smile

DreamingOfAFullNightsSleep · 27/10/2016 00:12

Oh virgin (you need to change that username now! ) your thread has made my night! Long may the happy cat petting continue, and in years to come you can add your "I shagged my best friend " story to the heartwarming stories on here!

AVirginLitTheCandle · 27/10/2016 00:41

I did wonder whether people would notice my NN when I started this thread. I admit that it wasn't the best name to go with when I name changed recently in light of recent events Blush

Think I'm going to keep it now though. If anything it's a good Halloween NN if anyone gets the reference Grin

Best Halloween film ever! I still have a crush on the cat Blush

NameChange30 · 27/10/2016 07:52

Do you want to pet it, Lemon? Grin

Spadequeen · 27/10/2016 08:10

Excellent result.

I drunkenly shagged my best friends. 15 years married and 2 children. And still my best friend

Spadequeen · 27/10/2016 08:10

Friend not friends, I'm. It in some weird multiple partners marriage!

Littlemissamy · 27/10/2016 08:23

I did this, best thing I ever did! It was a natural progression for us, we both just wish we'd done it sooner :)

Mittensonastring · 27/10/2016 08:37

Married one of my closest friends, I resisted him at first. We didn't have a falling in to bed scenario though. He actually told me he wanted to marry me.

Enjoy the rush of new love.
