Do you <ahem> collect water during a bath

Is this one of those things that happens to every woman but nobody talks about.

5 minutes after a bath and its like your water just broke...

This is a thing yeah?

Yep.

After having the childerbeast my fanny could probably double up as a vacuum cleaner. Given it's large capacity and impressive suction technique. How or why I have no idea Hmm

clarebearkite · 04/05/2016 17:18

Yes happens here too!!
Can be a little disconcerting
Did I wee or is it just bath seepage? It's like a little game Wink

ifigoup · 04/05/2016 17:19

This used to happen when I was 6 stone heavier, but not now. After losing weight I also noticed that the angle of entry during certain activities had changed, so I assumed it was to do with that.

OnlyLovers · 04/05/2016 17:23

Happens to me and I don't have children.

I don't have baths any more either. Grin

Amymarie90 · 04/05/2016 17:23

Not always from a bath but every time from swimming! It's not great for the family changing room! 😂

iMogster · 04/05/2016 17:25

Never before children. After DS1, not in bath but happened in swimming pool if I had been actually swimming. After DS2 happens in bath and pool and jacuzzi, whether I have been moving much or not.
So nice to finally talk about it. Phew! Love MN for these non talked about subjects.

Hygellig · 04/05/2016 17:35

This seems to happen to me after swimming - only since having DCs though.

3madkids · 04/05/2016 17:36

Yes it's a thing- it's called "after-bath"

Just5minswithDacre · 04/05/2016 17:37

For a couple of years after last DC, but not for years since.

catalogoferrors · 04/05/2016 17:39

Frimple, hello.

I have broken my four/five years self imposed MN exile to talk to you. (I liked it on FB but never go on site and only read what pops up in my feed) I didn't even know my MN name!

I'm not a name changer, joined 11 yrs ago but gave up for Lent one year and never returned! Cdo, the tablecloth lady, Red rug, rivers of sweetcorn, pink Peter etc nice to see AF still has the same name.

If you are pushing against the skin of the back wall of your Vagina to help poo out because it is caught in a little 'pocket' this is called a rectocele.

I put up with mine for 9 years as I thought, having had several smears, if it was that odd someone would have mentioned it. Eventually I saw the GP, got referred to a Gynaecologist, had to have a pretty grim X-ray while I crapped nasty stuff I'd drunk and had forced up my arse (radiographer actually asked me who is upset!)

Eventually I had a repair for this, plus a prolapsed bladder and some serious repairs caused by traumatic birth (DS has CP) they even threw in a labioplasty while they were about it Blush the surgery is not pleasant, recovery is quite long but best thing I did.

I don't care what GP says, this is not normal and nothing to do with being on the pill.

Sorry for long rant.

SerafinaScoresby · 04/05/2016 17:41

I don't do baths cos I prefer showers but this happens to me after swimming, every time.

catalogoferrors · 04/05/2016 17:43

Please can someone tag frimple, just so she sees my message, I don't know how to do it/if it is poss.

Thank you.

Just5minswithDacre · 04/05/2016 17:46

You can only bold her name catalog. So; frimple.

Or you can PM her, but I'm sure she is reading or will catch up. Very helpful post Smile

EatinAintCheatin · 04/05/2016 17:50

hahaha always thought was just me Blush

only happened since dc even though I have had all sections?

but I was concerned i had developed a bucket fanny as have heard that c/s doesn't necessarily keep you tight, its pregnancies that give you a bucket Blush

msrisotto · 04/05/2016 17:51

I don't have children but did give up swimming with a mooncup in because it took on water until I got out the pool Blush

PennyDreadfuI · 04/05/2016 17:57

If you squat low over a towel when you get out of the bath with your knees pointing outwards iyswim, that'll 'open things up' and get rid of all the hiding bathwater, thus avoiding wet chairs/looking like you've pissed yourself later. I've been doing this for years and it works. Also works post-pool.

You're welcome Smile

WhingyNinja · 04/05/2016 18:00

I can't say I have noticed before, I am 7 months postpartum and only had 2 baths since so tonight I am going to have a long bath in the name of research to see if I get an "afterbath" Grin

EvansAndThePrince · 04/05/2016 18:00

Before and after kids I've been able to squirt it during bath and get a waterfall after baths Grin

HalfpintPixie · 04/05/2016 18:18

Came here to giggle about how I sometimes squirt water in the bath, and found out I should see my gp about a rectocele. Lovely! Grin

WhispersFFSunderBreath · 04/05/2016 18:25

Never after swimming but pretty much always after a bath, although I rarely have them as I prefer to shower. I go to the toilet straight after to avoid it spilling out later!!

PrtyPsn · 04/05/2016 18:27

No children and never had an afterbath though in some weird way I kinda wanna experience it... Cut to me doing somersaults in the bath tryna make this happen!
Spunk fallout - I find weeing and a good cough at the same time clears most of it out

AllThePrettySeahorses · 04/05/2016 18:28

Only if I DTD, not if I'm on my own (big bath Grin).

stealtheatingtunnocks · 04/05/2016 18:29

wonder if I can keep a secret stash of gin in mine?

Might get a bit warm, I suppose.

I've found my people! Happens to me when I swim. I once asked a good friend. She looked a me like I was a total freak.
