Do you <ahem> collect water during a bath

Is this one of those things that happens to every woman but nobody talks about.

5 minutes after a bath and its like your water just broke...

This is a thing yeah?

Frimplepants · 03/05/2016 21:35

Yes grumpy.

I think I'm going to need a name change BlushBlushBlush

Czerny88 · 03/05/2016 21:36

Er, nope. Shock

Unicow · 03/05/2016 21:38

I don't have baths these days but this happened a LOT during labour. I felt like I was casually washing the baby on her way out...

DailyMailEthicalFail · 03/05/2016 21:38

Yy to the bath / pool water / sperm issue.
Prior to babies and more so after.
Was told it was a 'tilted womb' issue?

Fishcake72 · 03/05/2016 21:40

Yes!!!! And the squirting! Grin

MyQuaterLifeCrisis · 03/05/2016 21:40

It happens to me, only after having DC2 3.5 years ago though.

AnyFucker · 03/05/2016 21:41

...nothing to be ashamed of frimple

Girliefriendlikesflowers · 03/05/2016 21:44

Frimple that sounds like a fistula? If it is still happening you need to go back to GP.

I have the water gushing out after a bath thing every now and again, I had a c.section so don't think its related giving birth although never happened pre dd Confused

MrsJayy · 03/05/2016 21:46

Nothing to name change for i had major repair work after my first baby it could have been me the damage down there was that bad

Pipbin · 03/05/2016 21:47

I also get the reappearance of spunk a couple of hours after sex too.

I used to get that in the days of lunch time sex.

EBearhug · 03/05/2016 21:48

I've had it after swimming lots of breaststroke. Other strokes appear not to have the same effect. (Admittedly have not tested out butterfly.) Assumed it was down to pelvic floor being as unfit as the rest of me. Never been pregnant, so it's not just about having children.

girlinacoma · 03/05/2016 21:49

Happens after a long swim, it's like a little chlorinated douche ..

WriteforFun1 · 03/05/2016 21:49

OMD

my friends have a bunch of stuff they don't tell me because they say there's no need for a childfree woman to know

I guess this is one of them.

Frimplepants · 03/05/2016 21:52

I will admit I've been having a 'tell the doctor - don't mention it' argument in my head since I got the call for a check up through. My biggest fear at the moment is he will say I have to stop taking the pill. I was put on it last year when I had an op to remove ovarian cysts to stop them forming again, and for the first time since I can remember, I feel vaguely stable and sane. But I can't say that to him, he'd think I'm crazy, so I shouldn't mention it. Surely if it's bad he'd notice when doing the smear and internal scan I have to have to check no more cysts are growing?

3rdrockfromthesun · 03/05/2016 21:53

Yep and have no children. The first time I did it I was really shocked and kinda worried (having just read an article where a women gave birth and didn't know she was pregnant...)

NeverTalksToStrangers · 03/05/2016 21:53

This has never happened me.

Like previous poster, I've only had sections.

WriteforFun1 · 03/05/2016 21:55

If it happens to women with no children, I'll add it to the worry list. Meh.

SexNamesRFab · 03/05/2016 21:57

Thank God for mumsnet. I've been swimming loads recently (breaststroke) and was getting seriously worried I was becoming incontinent. I'd been googling kegal weights and cursing myself for ignoring the MW and being too lazy to do my pelvic floors (2 DC). Then I realised, after a not so near miss, it smelt more like chlorine than wee Blush

Poor Frimple, you can't live like that Flowers

Smidge001 · 03/05/2016 22:04

Happens to me too - Bath water / swimming / post sex gloopage. Also agree that the latter always happens at the least opportune moment. I've not had any children so I don't think that can be relevant.

wantmore I like your release method Grin. I think I may have done this myself too Blush

Girliefriendlikesflowers · 03/05/2016 22:04

Frimple I can't see any reason that being on the pill would an issue, if it is a fistula then a very quick op would sort out the problem. Without it you risk serious infection, you really can't leave it.

TooExtraImmatureCheddar · 03/05/2016 22:04

Frimple, I would tell the doctor even if you do get smears and scans. Maybe it's not easy to spot if you aren't looking for it.

AnyFucker · 03/05/2016 22:05

Frimple, you need to get it checked.

You can stay on the pill. And no, the doc might not otherwise notice as it may happen just when you are bearing down for the loo.

Sprink · 03/05/2016 22:09

I'm in love with this thread because it's exactly the kind of thing women never discuss, but should.

Believe it or not, Frimplepants, you're a heroine to many. Never name change. Stay Gold. Wink

However...I can't quite understand why so many of you have said that if the water is too hot, you save your...feet (by putting them over side of bathtub).

Surely there are more sensitive parts of the body that must be protected by just hopping out of tub?!

madmomma · 03/05/2016 22:16

Yep. Does my head in.

madmomma · 03/05/2016 22:18

And spunk fallout's even worse. Stinking like a fishmarket 2 minutes after a shower the day after sex.
