Do you <ahem> collect water during a bath

Is this one of those things that happens to every woman but nobody talks about.

5 minutes after a bath and its like your water just broke...

This is a thing yeah?

Sprink, no it's when you overheat so you take your legs out to cool down a bit, lie down legs in the bath, sit up and frog leg. It's very satisfying

AliciaMayEmory · 03/05/2016 22:27

Yep!
Happened to me before I had the DC and still does. Can also do the swishing thing whilst in the bath!

MrsJayy · 03/05/2016 22:30

Frimple you dont need to come off the pill but you do need to mention it to the dr

MrsJayy · 03/05/2016 22:33

Last time it happened to me i was going out with dh running so went for a quick bath to shave my bits got dressed jumped in the taxi and wooosh Blush

Sprink · 03/05/2016 22:47

Jane thanks for that, but I'm none the wiser. Sounds...athletic, though. Wink

Beepbopboop · 03/05/2016 22:48

This happens to me and has always happened to me since a teenager.
May be something to do with how big the space is between your legs? (Don't want to say thigh gap)

NoMudNoLotus · 03/05/2016 22:57

2 sections and my fanjo likes drinking bath water .

SanityAssassin · 03/05/2016 23:07

2 ELCS - I seem to be watertight (so far - thankfully)

grumpysquash3 · 03/05/2016 23:08

Beep I honestly don't think it has anything to do with physique (also not wanting to say thigh gap).

Regarding my post about water slides (at the top of the thread) I cross my legs for fast slides and it still happens. No thigh gap either, nice comfy size 14!

MakingJudySmile · 03/05/2016 23:17

No I must have a waterproof one, though I don't raise my legs in the bath. I'll try that next time I have one, in the name of science.

However I was watching Raised By Wolves the other day and one of the characters was saying she'd coined a word 'Afterbath' for that "bit of water that comes out of a woman five minutes after she gets out the bath'

Haudyerwheesht · 03/05/2016 23:29

Happens to me too and after swimming. Last time Dd gleefully shouted 'mummy was dry and now she's peeing all down her legs again' to the packed changing room so that was nice.

Ludways · 04/05/2016 11:24

This has never happened to me, either in the bath or whilst swimming. I had two sections though, so that's probably why. I'd look smug but my little overhang thing on my scar is preventing that from happening, sigh!

LordoftheTits · 04/05/2016 11:34

Nope, never happened to me!

I remember a thread on this topic before and a poster said that they always collect a "fannyful" of water and ever since then I've wished that was an actual unit of measurement Grin

Toddzoid · 04/05/2016 11:49

Always happened to me in the late stages of pregnancy and for a while after birth. Stand up and GUSH. Convinced my waters had gone a few times with DC1 but nope. Twas strange, glad it's stopped now though!

pollyblack · 04/05/2016 12:33

Mine definitely fills up, as i can feel the water in there and my mooncup fills up- so given up using it swimming. It doesnt keep the water and spill it out later though, it just all comes out straight away. I think that is worse!!!

robinia · 04/05/2016 15:14

Nope - not for me - and I 've had five normal deliveries.

DerelictMyBalls · 04/05/2016 15:51

Never heard of it. Learn something new every day, eh?

WhingySquirrel · 04/05/2016 16:50

My GP said the opposite, that the reason you collect water is due to having a tight vaginal wall which means it gets trapped (yes I did go to the doctor about it)!

WhingySquirrel · 04/05/2016 16:51

And it was pre having dc

HisNameWasPrinceAndHeWasFunky · 04/05/2016 16:52

Never happened to me.

I have 2 DC (VB if that's relevant) & I spend 15-30 minutes in the bath every morning. I might experiment in the morning and if I can make anything happen I will report back.

GrumpyOldBag · 04/05/2016 17:06

No, and never heard of this.

Both dc born by cs.

Mumstudentbum · 04/05/2016 17:07

3 dcs here, all vaginal births with big babies. Never had waterfall after a bath lol

CradleCrapNap · 04/05/2016 17:11

I once saw a comedienne at a local comedy club who asked the mums in the room about this. She said, 'you know how you get out of the bath, and five minutes later the bath gets out of you'? I laughed so hard. So true.

MrsTerryPratchett · 04/05/2016 17:14

This is why we need female comics. Because it's important to talk about crap like this and comedy is one way to start.

with the waterfall brigade. One child c-section.

seafoodeatit · 04/05/2016 17:14

I've never noticed it after a bath but definitely remember a small trickle after swimming sometimes. (before I had DC.)
