I have two. I told a friend totally out of the blue that Michael Jackson would be dead six weeks from now, he was. I pointed at the screen and told a friend whilst watching Loose Women that Linda Bellingham would die soon of cancer.
I dunno why i felt compelled to say those things but i felt i needed to.

No criticising, hairsplitting or arguing pleae.

Be brave and tell. :)

Big bump!
Seriously, human faced big cats & possible alien abduction?Shock

Scan that is so horrible

Thumbnutstwitchingonanopenfire · 30/11/2014 22:39

scan - that is indeed awful and does just show that our gut reactions to people are often quite accurate. Never a good idea to over-ride them.

Bumbiscuits · 01/12/2014 17:36

I saw my cat on the landing when I got up to go to the loo during the night last night. She was sitting outside the bathroom door and stood up and went in before me. As I went into the bathroom she snaked around my legs and went out.

She died 3 years ago.

I'm not woo, I reckon I was still half dreaming.

Sickofthesnow · 01/12/2014 20:40

My gran - mums mum - died the day after my daughters 2nd birthday. She was an ill lady and had deteriorated rapidly but had promised she would come to DD's birthday party and wouldn't miss it for the world. She went out that morning and bought DD an 18th birthday present and asked me to keep it safe. She passed away next morning.
A year to the exact date, day after DD's 3rd birthday, I get a phone call to inform me my other gran - dads mum - had passed away that morning.

SistersOfPercy · 01/12/2014 21:13

Yay, we're in classics!

foofooyeah · 02/12/2014 13:02

Great thread, loving canali psychic dog

PigeonPie · 02/12/2014 17:35

Catthiefkeith - I'm very late to the 'party' and still reading, but couldn't not comment on your post about the dolphin show at the local swimming baths.

We went to one at Gloucester baths which must have been between 1973 (when my little sis was born) and 1975 when we moved. I still remember it!

Catthiefkeith · 02/12/2014 17:44

PigeonPie, it would have been around that time, although more likely 76ish as I was very small.

I'm from Essex originally, am starting to wonder if it was some kind of touring show that worked it's way around the country. Smile

MissBattleaxe · 03/12/2014 18:00

I'm so glad this is in classics. It's far too good to disappear. It has really changed how I look at the world.

Gem124 · 07/12/2014 09:06

Got to bump this!!

elotrolado · 08/12/2014 23:31

DH and I were at the cinema and saw someone sat a few rows in front who looked exactly like someone we both knew. 5 minutes later the that person came in and sat next to the lookalike. We were Shock

hollyisalovelyname · 09/12/2014 07:40

Perhaps they were siblings- it's not unusual Smile

Germgirl · 09/12/2014 07:55

Dalek we definitely saw it. Neither ex or I are remotely woo & I was happy to believe I'd just made it up in my mind but he said it completely unprompted.
I'm reasonably sure we weren't abducted by aliens though, if we were then the clever aliens completely wiped our memories of the abduction.
Those clever clever aliens... :)

When I was at middle school in the early 80s, we had a science teacher who ran a taxidermy club at lunchtime. It was a rural school, and he would pick up roadkill and freeze it for us to work on. There would be a handful of eleven-year-olds mangling small animals, while he put the finishing touches to a badger.

I still have my stoat.

Deep breath...

So a few years ago, when me and DP were courting Wink, we were at his place one night, very late, on the roof terrace. I went in to go to the loo and he shouted me back to say he could see a satellite I know, we're geeks so I came back outside.

While I was looking at the sky, a massive shape came across the sky right in front of my eyes. I said to DP, what's that? He said, what? I said WHAT.THE.FUCK.IS.THAT and he stood rooted to the spot with me while we watched it float silently across the sky for about a minute.

It was massive. Black, cylinder-shaped and completely silent. The silence was the scariest thing about it. It had a red marking on the outside of it, but I couldn't pay much attention, I thought I was going to pass out.

When it had gone, we were both stunned. We didn't speak for ages and then I cried. I didn't sleep all night long, and when I told people at work in the morning, I burst into tears again.

I've always wanted to see something, my whole life. But I wish I hadn't. It was the singular most terrifying moment of my life, and I'll never forget it.

Aussiemum78 · 10/12/2014 03:48

My aunt had a teddy bear when she was a child. At some stage, it got a hole in it and before it was sewn up, she put a note inside it.

50 years later she saw a bear just like hers at an antique store. Except it was actually hers, note and all.

DalekBread · 10/12/2014 06:41

I remember telling people I'd seen an ostrich looking through the library window when I was about 4 or 5 - I can still see it in my minds eye. This was in outer London.

The only thing I can think is that maybe a kid was on their way to a fancy dress party wearing a mask & looked through the window?

DalekBread · 10/12/2014 12:26

germgirl maybe the creature was on its way to or back from an alien abduction ...

Isabeau did you "log" it on any UFO sites ?

Peepants78 · 16/12/2014 10:56

At the height of his You've Been Framed fame, Jeremy Beadle tripped over my foot. He didn't find it funny.

Peepants78 · 16/12/2014 10:58

it wasn't a deliberate action on my part - he did genuinely trip!

NorksEnormous · 16/12/2014 12:46

I have glow in the dark hands Wink
It only happens even I touch the rubber teething bars of the cot, in the dark my hands light up like a Christmas tree! I first discovered it 4 years ago with DS, I woke DH up to see if he could do it but he couldn't. Happened every night when DS woke for a feed and I touched the bar- my hand glowed. When he was old enough we put the cot away and I forgot about it until dd was born and we put her in the cot, and sure enough my glow in the dark hands came back! Grin

My grandad was ill in hospital and I was fishing with my boyfriend, as I was outside there was a lot of birds singing, trees rustling etc. all of a sudden the noises went really loud and then stopped and turned into my aunt (who had died a couple of years previous) saying Sweet it's me everything is ok. I knew then my grandad had passed,2 minutes later my mom rang to tell me, as she was on the phone a Robin hopped into the entrance of the tent. My grandad was a keen gardener and had a little Robin friend who would go sit on the top of his spade while he was tending the garden. Even now we refer to robins as Grandad Fred.

He turned up where I worked last year, could feel him behind me and see him out the corner of my eye, when I turned round there was no one there!

Same aunt shouted at me when I popped to the loo in the middle of the night!

We always took my nan shopping on a Tuesday and Friday and every time she would comment on a pair of shoes hanging from the telephone line down the road (yes I now know what that means haha) when we were on the way back from her funeral we went past the wire and they had gone!

anothergenericname · 17/12/2014 06:03

What does a pair of shoes hanging from the telephone line mean????
