I used to think that I was a good writer. But, since joining MN, I have to face the sad realisation that this is untrue. If I comment on a thread, it dies, and if I start a thread, no one answers! I give up. I know I am a good reader, I will stick to that from now on....

Can't kill a bad thing lol

Yes I'm mildly under the influence read as pished! Where I live is ideal apart from the fact my BIL lives half a mile from us and is a penis from hell!!! He's a knob of the highest order, think Napoleon on a really bad day, little man syndrome too then add a MIL whose a whore from hell to the mix and this is my life, HA! God bless sauvignon blanc and all its medicinal purposes lol

VixZenFenchell · 09/06/2013 23:06

V Envy of you all :)

While you're enjoying sunshine and sauv, I'm at work (sniff, I can hear the tiny violins playing as I type!) - its grey, raining, coooold!!! - and the garden while a decent size is mostly 2 huge piles of clay & topsoil, gorse covered steep hillside and a flock of chooks. When we finish the house we'll get to the garden. Probably just before the boys move out!

I have it planned - vege patch, fruit trees, flowery bits, lawn, hot tub ... Will take years.

Oooh :) you are all invited! Happy day now - 18 degrees, the sun is shining, the sky is blue ... This is more like winter!

Plus work isn't too bad today, plus I don't have to go out tonight so I have a long bath with sauv planned :) to drink while in it as opposed to bathing in it. Might get a bit sticky otherwise.

Roomfor1more · 10/06/2013 10:15

Vix do you live here unbeknownst to us??!! We have chooks, goorse covered ditches, unfinished patio/mound of rubble and a mount of clay that was put in the garden for a few days ............. 5 years later!

Roomfor1more · 10/06/2013 10:15

Mound NOT mount of clay, sorry!

amazingmumof6 · 10/06/2013 16:11

I have been killing my own thread! [Grin]

Look: www.mumsnet.com/Talk/_chat/1776294-DH-is-the-Best-Man-I-am-NFI-Come-cheer-me-up-with-what-I-should-do-that-weekend

If we ever got bored, we could have a wee thread killing competition. We could all try to see how many threads we could kill by posting "In a Travelodge". Just that. No other word of explanation.

See - I have scored one already ^^

DuchessOfAvon · 10/06/2013 20:36

Oh arse - crap at linkys

here

Thumbtack · 10/06/2013 21:03

Ah, but you didnt!

Ever googled 'canopies and stars' the website is ace! Full of ultra cool stuff to do.

Thumbtack · 10/06/2013 21:09

In a travelodge.

Thumbtack · 10/06/2013 21:14

Just kidding Threaddies!

zing a proper hammock apparently allows you to lay widthways not longways iyswim! It was only sailors on cramped ships that introduced this way coz space what at a premium . . . Useless trivia but hey ho. Hammocks are lovely to nap in. Not so nice if you have to get a full night sleep in though. my teenage self insisted on a hammock instead of a bed and learnt this the hard way

Roomfor1more · 10/06/2013 21:22

One of the babies walked with one of the VTech walker things before bedtime earlier!!!!!!!!! Grin I'm so happy Grin

Thumbtack · 10/06/2013 21:54

Blueandwhitelover · 11/06/2013 06:51

Flying in to say hello, crap day yesterday so missed posting!
Pouring with rain here, bit of a bugger as I'm cooking a picnic today with 36 littlies and then supposedly going out for a walk to local historical area to eat the picnic!

Thumbtack · 11/06/2013 08:38

Picnic with 36 little ones! Confused Good Luck, hope the historical site is amazing. Just out of curiosity, are the children genuinely interested in the historical aspect or is it just a day out for them? Iyswim?

Roomfor1more · 11/06/2013 09:41

Yes I was in a Travelodge, eating tofu, playing Tetris, thinking to myself!

How zat! lol

36 smallies, Blue your a brave woman, stay strong!!! Grin Ds has his school outing on Friday, really hopes the rain fecks off so they can enjoy the day, its all outdoor things they had planned too.

DuchessOfAvon · 11/06/2013 09:51

I ought to be working but now I am going to be distracted by hunting for threads to Travelodge.

amazingmumof6 · 11/06/2013 09:53

put the word Travelodge in advanced searchWink

Roomfor1more · 11/06/2013 09:59

Travelodge?? isn't that where Lenny Henry stays??? Wish he'd shave off that horrible beard and leave his hair grow a bit. I wouldn't stay at the Travelodge if I thought he was lurking about looking like that!

Blueandwhitelover · 11/06/2013 17:15

Children are the ones who didn't go on the residential trip. We organised five days of fun, free activities for them, sadly the rain meant we couldn't visit the site and timekeeping was not what I expected so the picnic was finally all cooked half an hour after lunch started lol. We had a fab time cooking it all though and ate it together in the classroom which isn't normally allowed so they were chuffed with that.
However, it is fair to say that I am now EXHAUSTIFIED!!!

Thumbtack · 11/06/2013 17:54

well done blue I think you achieve more in a day than i do in a year . .

Thumbtack · 12/06/2013 07:04
