It was a big hit. We featured in Talk Round-up, Parenting News, Discussions of the Day AND Classics. You can watch the rerun at the start of the thread Grin

Night x

EmpressOfTheGoldOceans · 23/09/2012 02:44

(drowsily) It was an epic battle though, getting into Classics.... But finally MNHQ recognised our worthiness.

StateofConfusion · 23/09/2012 10:37

Welcome raven, I like you, you brought cinamon rolls.

I'm hiding in the puddle had a shite nights sleep with feeling sick/blocked up nose/leg cramps and heartburn then had a horrible nightmare which wrecked my much needed lie in.

EmpressOfTheGoldOceans · 23/09/2012 11:52

Oh State Sad
Poor you.

It's decaf, for the heartburn, but it's the best decaf ever. DW and I love it.
Do you want to talk about the nightmare?

StateofConfusion · 23/09/2012 15:24

Thanks empress

It was fecking horrible I panic a lot over the babys movements anyway as I had two mcs and a mmc between dd and this baby. Anyway dreamt I hadn't felt it all day and then discovered I was bleeding went to a+e to be told there was no heartbeàt. I did wake up at that point to the baby kicking me in the bladder but its made me feel really crappy all the same! It took me until recently to actually calm down enough to buy things.

EmpressOfTheGoldOceans · 23/09/2012 20:38

Thank you. It sounds fecking horrible Sad. I'm glad the baby woke you.

Looks like you're going to get away without calling him Jesus.

StateofConfusion · 23/09/2012 22:56

That it does, we may have settled on a boys name just incase, hq still have 12 and a bit weeks...

Tomorrow is mine and dps 7yr anniversary!

EmpressOfTheGoldOceans · 24/09/2012 00:15

Congratulations!!!

We know ours is in June sometime but can never remember exactly when.

TheBonkeyMollocks · 24/09/2012 00:17

Oh congrats State.

Our is 9 years in April Shock
Im.only 24 to darn young to have been with someone that long!!

Welcome Raven! :)

StateofConfusion · 24/09/2012 11:24

Bloody hell bonkey I'm 24 too and feel like 7yrs is forever!

Shame dps being a moody shit so I want to club him over the head with a wok not spend time with him.

EmpressOfTheGoldOceans · 24/09/2012 12:08

We've been together 10, I met DW and DD around DD's 2nd birthday so we count from that.

You're both 24? I'm 39. I refuse to feel old.

Why a wok in particular?????

TheBonkeyMollocks · 24/09/2012 12:11

State If my Dh can still walk to work.later then today will have been a good day!

I would very happily shove a saucepan up his arse today!

Grin
ObviouslyInvisible · 24/09/2012 13:41

Welcome Raven!

Thanks for the cushions, throws and comforter State, they're very pretty and snuggly.
Sorry to hear about your scare - very glad baby State is fine. Pregnancy dreams are so vivid aren't they.
Congratulations on your anniversary! Our 7th wedding anniversary is in 3 weeks, and DH will probably be away in the US with work. :(

Confession time - I also have a Yummy Mummy changing bag. Blush I really cannot bear that name, but the bag is so, so pretty and practical. I couldn't resist. I will keep my hand over the logo so no one sees it when I'm out. Grin It has thistles and dragonflies on it, and I love it so much! Spent all my Nectar points on it to treat myself.

I'm 31, Empress. It always comes as a shock when I say my age - I'm sure I'm only in my early 20's still.

Shaky, my nursing bras were £30 each from Bravissimo - no way I'm cutting holes in them! I'll just stick to giving the postman an eyeful when he walks past the window! The crack seems to be healing now, thank god. Hopefully it won't scar - it stretches round a third of my nipple. At least I can feed off it now, and it's not bleeding anymore.

EmpressOfTheGoldOceans · 24/09/2012 13:45

That's good, OI.
State & Bonkey - what on earth have your DHs been doing???

StateofConfusion · 24/09/2012 16:20

I thought the wok empress as it makes a rather satisfying gong noise when it hits anything. Saucepan eh bonkey handle first? Or has he really annoyed you Grin

I have one with cherrys on oi sadly I brought it as I have a red pram and needed it to co-ordinate, I seriously have considered covering that slogan with something. They're fantastic bags though, so organised
So glad to hear your boobs are on the mend, bloody nursing bras are pricey aren't they!

Oh empress what hasn't he done not so long ago he had a knee operation basically it went wrong so he's signed off work until January so firstly way too much time together. But anyway the ops caused more pain so he's on a lot of meds, they've recently given him a new one to boost the pain killers and help him sleep and it has mild anti depressants in as he's been very low missing work, feeling useless etc
But instead its given him epic mood swings, one minute he's lovely the next ranty and always tired, but won't accept that I'm tired and mood swingy too. Its nothing major but when your with each other too much it seems huge. And he keeps moving stuff I've put down

StateofConfusion · 25/09/2012 17:48

Has the puddle evaporated?

TheBonkeyMollocks · 25/09/2012 17:51

Here!
Dh is very lucky he is still alive!
He gave ds a bar of chocolate literally as I was serving up his tea Angry then he buggers off to work and leaves he to deal with the fall out of ds not wanting dinner and wanting more crap Hmm

How's you and bump?

StateofConfusion · 25/09/2012 19:10

Oh dear, work saved him there then! Dp is terrible for giving them snacks when I'm cooking and have said NO! "But they're hungry" dinners nearly done though grr!

Bumps good, 3rd trimester now and getting organised, just need the carseat/base and adaptors for the pram, and some bottles in case bfing doesn't pan out. I want new wheels for the pram and some nice babygrows and bits but everything essentials pretty much done!

Need to think about dds birthday now, she's 4 in November. She's asked for an ipod touch hahaha! She can dream on for another year atleast. Ds does have one but he's used mine since 2yo without any issues, whereas she's thrown/sucked and lost mine more than once! Totally stuck for a 'main' gift though, ditto christmas, ds has a new bike hidden in the garage!

StateofConfusion · 25/09/2012 19:15

How are all the mini puddles getting on at school and nursery? Ds has finally stopped crying hurrah! And dd is still loving every day!

TheBonkeyMollocks · 25/09/2012 19:31

Normally I would have Christmas in the bag by now but money is really tight so i am going to have to leave it until late as possible. Double whammy too...ds's birthday is the 7th of Dec!

Ds is living school ! Starts full time next week...finally!

I hope your enjoying your child free time! Make the most of it whilst you can! :)

TheBonkeyMollocks · 25/09/2012 19:32

*loving school!

Can't wait to get my laptop back!!!

ObviouslyInvisible · 25/09/2012 19:50

Ds1 is loving school too. He comes home in different clothes every day because he's got filthy having a great time playing outside. What with that, and Ds2, my washing machine is permanently on.

We're leaving Christmas presents til late this year too, trying to save up some money.

StateofConfusion · 25/09/2012 20:58

I sold ds' small bike to fund the big one, the rate at which he goes through the sizes so quickly I won't make the mistake of parting with stupid money on a brand new one again.

Fantastic to hear all the mini puddles are enjoying school, OI my ds came home filthy every single day for nearly the whole of reception, I was forever in sainsburys buying new shirts! I think all under 6's should wear navy/black polo tops or shirts not white! So far unbelievably dd hasn't come home dirty once, which is slightly alarming as at home she rarely gets a full days use out of clothes!

How is ds2 doing? What does ds1 think of his new brother :)

I watching great british bake off and shouldn't because it makes me crave cakes and pastries!

StateofConfusion · 25/09/2012 21:01

I so quite enjoy my 3hrs peach bonkey it is a bit strange but now they're both happy and settled its nice.
