Zombie You have no idea how much that is needed! Thankyou!!

ObviouslyInvisible · 22/09/2012 18:52

I am smothered in Lansinoh, and sitting here with my tits hanging out

Thanks for all the marshmallows, hot chocolate, snuggles, etc. They're very much appreciated right now!

Get well soon Empress and State.

EmpressOfTheGoldOceans · 22/09/2012 20:14

I luffs the Puddle. And my phone now knows how to spell Puddlehumper Grin.

We went for a walk in the park this afternoon, took oats and birdseed to feed the ducks, and DW and I are now making curried chicken if anyone wants some.

TheBonkeyMollocks · 22/09/2012 20:51

Well just got back from local carnival and its BLOODY FREEZING !!!!
:(

IamtheZombie · 22/09/2012 20:58

Curried chicken?

StateofConfusion · 22/09/2012 21:25

Another pregnant stupid moment hit me today, its a rival for giving out the wrong DOB for dd. Been planning to go to the local NCT sale since it was first whispered about months ago, had the date on the calendar in my phone, leaflet on fridge, asked my Mum to have to big two all organised, except I'd planned it all for TOMORROW. The sale was TODAY! I got a reminder via facebook it was starting in 20mins as I dossed around the house, had a hormonal paddy that they've changed the day, anyway rush to go, dump dcs potter round get some bargains, get home check calendar and leaflet and realise I am off my blardy rocker Blush

Oh oi you poor love I will not moan about pregnancy nipples ever again as you've just brought back many memories. Have you tried cabbage leaves, they really do help! So sexy being a mum ey!

Now because you're all luffly and cold and poorly and have broken boobs I'm bringing in my special purple crushed velvet cushions with pretty beaded edges from my bedroom and my lovely feathery cushions from my couch, my best super soft throws and my chenille comforter. That's how much I luff the puddle

IamtheZombie · 22/09/2012 21:28

A chenille comforter, State? You do spoil us.

TheBonkeyMollocks · 22/09/2012 21:29

I feel spoiled!

I have my fake fire going. Its not helping with the illusion of heat Angry

EmpressOfTheGoldOceans · 22/09/2012 21:33

Oh LOVELY.
Thank you State.

Shaky · 22/09/2012 21:43

State you are so kind. Did you get many bargains? I love NCT sales, I really ought to do one, we have far too much crap in this house.

OI I feel for you, sorry about your broken boobs, I found alternating between warm and cold flannels helped. I know someone who cut holes in her bra to let her nipples breathe and heal, it was the only way she could be comfortable.

Shaky · 22/09/2012 21:44

I love the puddle!

StateofConfusion · 22/09/2012 21:44

I have a fake fire too bonkey dcs broke my fake coal the little feckers! The illusion is nice but it isn't doing it tonight.

Tvs dire tonight I just wound up watching x factor, never seen it before, if that's what made it past auditions I'm glad I didn't seem them!

StateofConfusion · 22/09/2012 21:53

Best bargain was the BT digital baby monitor for £4, we had it for the big two but it came to a sad end being dropped over a banister by a toddler so I'm more than chuffed to get one at such a bargain price considering I parted with almost £70 for our orginal! Also got dd five minutes peace book brand new for 70p as she loves it and the library are possibly sick of us renewing it.

Wasn't the best sale I've been to, the last time I went it was 2008 and HUGE and our branch used to organise it amazingly well, all clothes together in correct sizes/boy/girl etc, a toy area in each age, feeding section and so on, every price tag was coded, you paid at the end and the codes were written down and each seller had a unique code, but understandably that was far too much work for the volunteers although a fantastic lay out for buyers.

I did have a brief rage as one lady was explaining expertly to a couple of new parents about extended rear facing carseats, or atleast keeping in infant seats for as long as possible, then mere feet away the chair man was encouraging someone to buy a FF seat for an 8mo as they must be FF at 9mo. Personally I'm a bit uncomfortable with 2nd hand seats in any case but he had no idea the weight of there dc at all.

Shaky · 22/09/2012 22:14

Well done on the baby monitor, fantastic bargain.

I would never buy a second hand car seat either.

The NCT sales are fab for clothes, I got loads last time I went.

StateofConfusion · 22/09/2012 23:26

Clothes were my main reason for going as I'm having a nightmare finding unisex bits for dc3 and dd is so hard on stuff I begrudge paying a fortune for her to wreck it, but the boden duffle coat I loved for her dp hated, did pick ds a BNWT next duffle coat friday from fb selling page for £5, so he's sorted for school. I like them to have a school and home coat, plus rain coats as they are allowed paint and chalk etc outside so school coats get filthy!

EmpressOfTheGoldOceans · 22/09/2012 23:39

Makes sense, but at least school coats can be dark!
I'd love to know which genius decided white was an appropriate colour for school shirts.

StateofConfusion · 22/09/2012 23:46

No don't mention the sodding school shirts, I was buying more of them for ds than I was milk and bread last term! He wrecked around 3 a week. And we vanished/boiled etc and rarely got one clean again! Good job he's small and only costs £4 for 3 in sainsburys!

So far, dd hasn't ruined one after a week in nursery, if she starts too ill stick her in pinafores, protects them a bit then. But she's rather fond of trousers.

A primary school near my mum has navy polo shirts and another bottle green, genius! But then even ds' preschools baby blue ones stayed cleaner.

TheLastRavenhope · 22/09/2012 23:48

I have no clue what's going on, but it looks interesting Grin

EmpressOfTheGoldOceans · 22/09/2012 23:51

When I was at primary school we took in our parents' old shirts & wore them for all messy stuff. MUCH better idea. Unfortunately DD's too old to stick in pinafores Sad

Raven!!!
State, Shakey & Bonkey, this is my friend Raven Grin
Raven, this is our snuggly Puddle. Come & have some hot chocolate & marshmallows.

TheLastRavenhope · 23/09/2012 00:08

Woo! This is lovely and warm! Grin

Oh yes, I bought cinnamon rolls for everyone

EmpressOfTheGoldOceans · 23/09/2012 00:11

Thank you Grin
We like it. You'd expect a puddle to be cold & wet but this is the warmest, snuggliest place in Mumsnet.

TheLastRavenhope · 23/09/2012 00:16

Warm and snuggly suits me down to the ground. My bedroom is bloody freezing!

EmpressOfTheGoldOceans · 23/09/2012 00:18

Have some hot chocolate.

TheLastRavenhope · 23/09/2012 00:29

Thank you! So how's the musical going?
