i am vaguely intrigued by these as identified in teh times
"Discarded notes are rubbish to most people, but not for worldwide subscribers to Found, which reprints them. The magazine?s publisher, Davy Rothbart, gets bundles sent to his office in Michigan. Laura Kwerel, a radio producer in Washington, was ?overwhelmed? after reading one issue. ?I realise now,? she says, ?that there is more humanity in a discarded grocery list than in a thousand-page novel.? Some people need to get out more. "

In Tesco.

bread
milk
cheese
ham
2x tins ham
2x tins of something like ham

it was the 2 tins of something like ham that made me laugh

Found in Tesco on Tuesday:
Eggs
Mince
Mushs
Peppers
Ch Breast
R Krispies

Bonus item: a meal-planner down the right-hand side:
M - Omelette
T - Chips, ching (? hard to make out)
W - Spag Bol

No shortage of protein. But what are they having with their chips and what on earth is CCG?

Smerch · 22/10/2010 15:24

Found outside Sainsbury's today

Fruit
Grapes
Pills
Cake/chocolate
Crisps
McCoys
White Bread

Snoodle (?)

Intrigued by the separation of grapes and fruit and crisps and Mccoys. Also what is Snoodle and Thin Bread?

TrillianSlasher · 22/10/2010 15:26

Smerch - Snoodle = Super Noodles?

NorkyPies · 12/10/2011 00:24

Found list in Asda today - here it is exactly as written

Mince
Mushrooms
Onions
Carrots
Broccoli
Califlower
Roast Pot
Potatoes
Cheese
Salad
Gravy
Meat - Chicken Pork??
Oranges
Washing up liquid
Sprinkles for buns
Yorkshire Pud
Oxo
Butter, Milk

The only bright spot is Sprinkles for buns, though interestingly Roast Pot and Potatoes are different things (obviously buys frozen roast potatoes). All are crossed out, except Gravy, Washing up liquid, Sprinkles for buns and Milk - was she going to get them cheaper elsewhere? can't believe Asda didn't have them, even the Sprinkles.
