i am vaguely intrigued by these as identified in teh times
"Discarded notes are rubbish to most people, but not for worldwide subscribers to Found, which reprints them. The magazine?s publisher, Davy Rothbart, gets bundles sent to his office in Michigan. Laura Kwerel, a radio producer in Washington, was ?overwhelmed? after reading one issue. ?I realise now,? she says, ?that there is more humanity in a discarded grocery list than in a thousand-page novel.? Some people need to get out more. "

surely wedges are at the same end of the meat spectrum as cubes, if a rib-eye is at the opposite end. may once have been near meat kind of thing

are convenient meals ones you come across right by the oven - "ooh, that's handy I'll just pop it in and in 25 minutes, after having stirred once during cooking, I'll have something reet tasty"

LOL at Enid's BOAK

if I know Stacey she's back on the GI bollocks again and needs special bd

Surfermum · 30/01/2006 20:26

I wanna find one!

The people of Broadstone do not appear to have shopping lists, nor Dorchester. I'm going to Lidl's tomorrow and am going to lurk by the trolley park until I see one. I have a couple of hours to spare while dd is at pre-school.

Enid · 30/01/2006 20:27

surfermum I found one in waitrose in dorchester today

but it was realllllllllllllllly boring

Surfermum · 30/01/2006 20:31

Damn. That's where I went wrong, I was at Tesco!

BearintheBigBlueHouse · 30/01/2006 20:31

Bearpoints will only be awarded once list has been sent (we advise you use Registered Post or Special Delivery) and the Nice Ham item has been authenticated as, well, authentic. Otherwise everyone will be adding nice ham to their list - like the one found at B&Q: size 5 machine screws, 15mm compression stop end (chrome), ball-bearing butt hinges (5 of), nice ham, 1/2 inch router bit. Let's all play fair now, there's a lot at stake.

purpleturtle · 30/01/2006 21:00

It'll be Stacey's birthday, I reckon.

alexsmum · 30/01/2006 22:03

YES!! purple turtle- absolutely!!! birthday!

SoupDragon · 30/01/2006 22:10

svet = suet

And wedges could be frozen, as could the fish... although the list writer didn't specify frozen fish so if not shopping themselves, it could be a disaster.

cereal tom.sap ???
