Hi Pinot

I have posted on here under a different nick before. I also keep coming back for a peek. I wonder, whether MN would be interested in making the pics into a calendar for the christmas charity type thread. Just a thought, but I bet loads of the followers would buy it.

Northernlurker · 12/06/2011 17:07

What a lovely post sodiana. I do hope your spirits continue to lift. I agree - this is a fantastic story.

tribpot · 16/06/2011 12:04

I can't believe how much they've grown!

Pinot · 16/06/2011 12:18

SoDiana - you have a kindred spirit in me. I suffer too, much to my chagrin. I am so glad the kittens have worked their magic and held the dark curtain up for a bit. (Can I also recommend Edward Monkton books as a similiarly uplifting experience - he also writes as Giles Andreae but his EM is his pseudonym for positive tales. He suffers too).

Tripper I'm now trying to work out who you used to be!! It's a lovely idea, I'd be happy to 'give' the pictures up for that. I'll venture it to MN nearer Xmas Grin

trib They're huge aren't they?! Ginger climbed up the back of the cupboard yesterday and managed to get into one of the drawers. We found him curled up in the kids art drawer Shock :) Crazy thing!

Cheers Northern Wink

Really glad I found this thread again(moved house two weeks ago), the kittens look so gorgeous and healthy Pinot, well done!

ExitPursuedByAKitten · 16/06/2011 12:33

Oh God Pinot what fabulous pics! Had to have a little weep. Crikey how sad am I?

I'd definitely be up for a calendar. (You would have to make sure Rosie was included Sad)

ExitPursuedByAKitten · 16/06/2011 12:35

Did you ever watch Vets in Practice when the Scandinavian vet injected a kitten and it went straight through the neck and out the other side Grin?

Hope the kitties aren't too upset (actually, they look as if nothing much upsets them).

Exit Trude! I remember! Ooh it was awful! Funnily enough though, our vet is scandinavian - though he's a sexy chap called Lars

I keep thinking about Rosie and how sad it is she didn't make it. I find myself wondering what she'd look like now. How can one tiny animal make such an impact in 5 days?! :( Bless her soul. Glad it's not just me who's soppy.

Stewie and Tapsel They're really big and all weaned - even big enough to steal chicken off my plate (well, I say steal - they come up and sit on my lap purring furiously and pawing at my mouth as I eat)

Pinot, your babies are all so... colour co-ordinated? Even though Meow is black and white, she sort of tones in with everyone else!

5inthebed · 16/06/2011 13:49

I keep osing this thread then finding it again.

Meow and Ginger are so big now Pinot! Good luck for tomorrow. make sure you ask them for calpol, incase they get a fever Wink

Jux · 17/06/2011 08:40

Pinot, I can't access your pix any more; your name isn't underlined for me. Waaaiiiiil! I can't see the kitties.

Pinot · 17/06/2011 09:11

Jux Oh gosh sorry I think it's because I've shortened my nickname a bit. Try under this new name and let me know would you?

OK the kittens have been to the vets for their 9 week check (9 wks tomorrow) and their first vaccinations. They were soooo good :) Meow weighs 1.1kg and Ginger 1.3kg the chunky monkey! The sexy vet said they are gorgeous and they didn't yelp when they were injected. Ginger was rather indignant as having his balls touched though Hmm Then they came out of the carrier for a cuddle with the receptionist. Lovely! Back in 3 weeks for the 2nd jab and their microchips.

ExitPursuedByAKitten · 17/06/2011 15:39

Good kitties. Did they travel OK? My old puss used to wail the whole time she was in the car - so I used to sing loudly to her.

Pinot · 17/06/2011 15:44

They were quiet the whole way, though it's only a 5 minute drive. We took Poppy (our Cavalier) for her boosters too and she yapped the whole way and sounded like a monkey Hmm

SummerRain · 17/06/2011 16:39

They're HUuuuuuuuuuuuge!!! Shock

Guess they took to the food very well then Grin

So sweet, although seeing pics of Meow is making me weepy atm as she's very like my missing boy. Have rung vets and SPCA and there's been no reports of any found cats matching his description. I think someone around must be poisoning foxes and my cats are taking the brunt of it Sad

Pinot · 17/06/2011 16:42

Oh Summer has he still not turned up? Shock Oh no :(

The vet took Ginger out of the carrier first and said "Are you sure they're only 9 weeks?"

Shock

I was like "Are you calling my boy fat?!" Grin

Then he got Meow who's dinky and was like "Aha!"

ExitPursuedByAKitten · 17/06/2011 16:42

SummerRain Sad I lost two toms on separate occasions (think I have moaned about it much earlier up the thread) and it is horrible not knowing.

Have you seen the GoCat ad with all the ginger kitties? Reminds me of one of my lost toms, and also what fun you must be having with yours Pinot.

SummerRain · 17/06/2011 16:55

Pinot.... I'd definitely have guessed much older than 9 weeks based on those pics! They look fabulous though, not fat... just grown up Grin

Exit... the not knowing is worse than finding them dead. If I'd found him on the road at least I could grieve but I'm swinging between thinking he'll turn up at any moment and being convinced he's dead somewhere all alone Sad I'm panicking about my other three in case there is something out there attacking/poisoning them and they're at risk too.

Jux · 17/06/2011 19:29

Oh they're still so gorgeous. I want them, dd wants them and secretly dh wants them, even though we've got 3 already (and are about to get a bearded dragon, gulp

You were right. I must have looked at exactly the moment you were changing Your name - none of your names on the thread were underlined. What're the chances of that?
