I have just searched for it and can't bloody find it.

It was about 3 years ago, was started by cod and was something like 'what snazzy recipes did your mother cook in the 70s' or something.

It was hysterical.

I also loved the thread where we were invaded by the pram huns, Crap Tips (in classics but sadly useless as the links don't work), Shopping lists, "is that you UCM" and "Linda is a hospital administrator"

Also really loved the lefties threads during the election last year.

And my own "fuck I might be pregnant" saga Grin

I remember the woman with no bikini bottoms thread pagwatch, I made DH read it too as I was laughing so much. Wasn't that a well known MNer?

laInfanta · 07/04/2011 19:51

it was thesecondcoming

singmeasong · 07/04/2011 20:04

Thankyou *LetThereBeRock for finding that thread. Has made me chortle al over again! I wonder what happened to the OP? Whether she namchanged and is still here....

Shipscat · 07/04/2011 20:11

The toddler confessions thread. I couldn't read it all in one go, as I couldn't see for the tears of laughter, DD was getting very indignant at being jolted off the boob when I laughed, and DH rushed in really concerned as he thought something awful had happened! I was literally howling with laughter!

MajesticScallop · 08/04/2011 09:14

One about someone whose husband had made a model ship out of lolly sticks and left it by the bed and there was a terrible fanjo-related accident. Or something. I can't be the only person who remembers that??

exhausted2011 · 08/04/2011 09:56

Definitely the bikini bottoms one, it was what her husband said that made me howl!!

EduStudent · 08/04/2011 09:59

What was the one with th OP drunk slightly tipsy at a friend's, she was dancing and watching herself in the French windows...

Made me weep with laughter...

Quodlibet · 08/04/2011 10:00

Oh I loved the bikini bottoms story.

There was also one where someone admitted that their preg hormones had made them cry because there was blossom on the trees and Michael Jackson was dead and he wouldn't be able to see it which still makes me laugh every time I see blossom or think of Michael Jackson.

QuintessentialShadows · 08/04/2011 10:04

My only claim to fame, and by now forgotten by most, is the midgets thread. It was in chat. Gone.
But alas, it was a thread, reflecting real life, and I sometimes still howl with laughter, in my lonesome, when I think about that day. Grin

minimuffy · 08/04/2011 11:31

JarethTheGoblinKing · 08/04/2011 11:52

Butkin · 08/04/2011 13:32

I liked the one when an American MNetter didn't believe us when we said that gelatine was made from animal products and therefore not suitable for vegetarians. They started getting all defensive about Jello and saying that we were mad for thinking it came from an animal!

hormonesnomore · 08/04/2011 13:52

Booble Plate
Shiney's penguin threads
My son just touched a working class boy
Hair drying at the gym

BALD, yesterday I saw some little ones wearing Easter bonnets they had made at school and couldn't help looking for one with a fox on it!

hormonesnomore · 08/04/2011 13:56

And the Oxo Tower one.

BringBackGoingForGold · 08/04/2011 14:28

You're taking the piss about 'My son just touched a working class boy', surely?

ShirleyKnot · 08/04/2011 14:44

Oh and anything by GabbyLoggon

LizaTarbucksAuntie · 08/04/2011 14:49

Too many to mention.

Arf!ing my arse off just remembering some of these.

Penquingate made me laugh out loud at work, totally inappropriately.

My piss off our wedding guests thread which made DP and I howl with laughter and we're still using it as a reference.

The Ash cloud thread with the baby being born at the end was riveting - and also because 1) I made a lovely rl friend in an otherwise awful situation and it was amazing to see the generosity and suppor on the thread. Properly mn in action that one.

LizaTarbucksAuntie · 08/04/2011 14:50

oops meant to add a Grin after the my there, not being precious, honest!

GetOrfMoiLand · 08/04/2011 14:52

I am going to ask this thread be moved to classics.

I am so pleased that some old threads have been linked here, so don't want it disappearing in 90 days.

marking place!

BrainSurgeon · 08/04/2011 15:20

I only know about half of the ones mentioned here and love all of those...
My personal favourites are the river of sweetcorn, the one with lady who had a tummy bug and swallowed a red piece of lego (is that the cube of poo thread?), the "where there's a willy there's a way" one (because I have a DS) and the ones with embarrasing things DC have said/done...

BerryLellow · 08/04/2011 16:23

Oh I also liked Franny's how does your partner entice you thread, that was where I learned the phrases 'Jack Russelling' and 'Willy Windmills'

:o

EduStudent · 08/04/2011 16:30

Brain Cube of Poo was, I believe, a lady with a DD who did an escaping poo in the supermarket. It fell through the wire basket and ended up cube shaped and on the conveyor belt (Disclaimer: may have imagined some of it)

I still want to know about the french windows!

And does anyone have the link to the 'My son just touched a working class boy'? My Mum told me a story from a children's centre she's involved with, and it sounds very, very similar... Grin
