I have just searched for it and can't bloody find it.

It was about 3 years ago, was started by cod and was something like 'what snazzy recipes did your mother cook in the 70s' or something.

It was hysterical.

I also loved the thread where we were invaded by the pram huns, Crap Tips (in classics but sadly useless as the links don't work), Shopping lists, "is that you UCM" and "Linda is a hospital administrator"

Also really loved the lefties threads during the election last year.

And my own "fuck I might be pregnant" saga Grin

Can I just point out that my search for a dress thread was serious. It wasn't supposed to be funny. Or my search for a replacement evil cat. Clearly me shopping is hilarious. I am very bad at it to be fair.

My favourite is the random acts of kindness thread. Makes me weep.

EduStudent · 07/04/2011 16:42

I know, Showy, it was just your descriptions that made it so...beautiful. Did you ever find a non toddler engulfing dress in the end?

Just read oohlaalaas offering. And cried Blush

Oblomov · 07/04/2011 17:06

ShirleyKnot mentioned one of my faves - the NCT woman, who said obnoxious things to her NCT group and couldn't work out why they were upset. 'Why have kids if your not going to look after them /i.e. work'. Got deleted. Shame. Was FANTASTIC.
Maryz mentioned my other fave, dh left 2 year old downstairs on her own for a millisecond, oh he is abusive ! = StewieGrifs, " I am a Canadian". Was Fab.

ShowOfHands · 07/04/2011 17:12

I did. £12.99 from some shop or other. I wear it far too much.

caramelwaffle · 07/04/2011 17:22

Space Time Continuum thread.

Garry thread.

BelleDameSanMerci and KnickersOnMyHead attend another MNetter's wedding thread.

Troll Topic thread.

caramelwaffle · 07/04/2011 17:24

Oh, and Garlic in my bum, thread.

I believed you, Incontina.

Poor. You. Grin

mathanxiety · 07/04/2011 17:33

Twigs and Pebbley shit was fun from beginning to end with a few detours thrown for good measure.

Fellatio's poncetastic Christmas thread was fab.

Thriller wedding dance thread..

And that Gary thread (I loved your haiku, MrsChemist, can't believe it was deleted )

There was some great poetry on a NPD thread that I can't track down.

The supersoaker thread

The Nanny pasta thread

The thread where the OP wanted her bridesmaids to wear huge hot pink dresses, and carry fairy wands. I'm still hoping she'll share the wedding pics with us.

LadyOfTheManor · 07/04/2011 18:28

Links you are my nemesis Bloody hilarious.

Pagwatch · 07/04/2011 18:44

Who was it that went swimming and sat by the pool blowing up arm band with her chuff on display?

There was a line when her dh ran at her shouting " WTF ! Your minge!" that makes me cry every time I think about it

KnottyLocks · 07/04/2011 18:47

Pag, that may have been TheSecondComing, although not 100% on that.

Grabaspoon · 07/04/2011 18:49

Haven't read the whole thread yet but off the top of my head.

Block of Poo
AIBU to take super soakers
The MNetter who said her dad had come in and heard her and DH having loud sex and what should she do - she said it was a wind up at the end of the thread.

singmeasong · 07/04/2011 19:05

The first thread I ever read on MN was about the mum who was outraged her nanny was feeding the DC dried pasta. I thought I had entered a parallel universe and didn't come back to MN for a few months.
Would love to read it again, if anyone can find it, to see if it was as bonkers as I remember.

IhateMarlo · 07/04/2011 19:23

YOU TOTAL AND UTTER BASTARDS!!!
I have spent all afternoon following threads and then threads that have been linked to threads??????
As much as I love you I HATE you all

Now I need to rush around sorting so that I can have dirty weekend without worrying about sorting work for next week...........Wink

exoticfruits · 07/04/2011 19:24

I loved the nanny and the ready made pasta one.

LetThereBeRock · 07/04/2011 19:25

That's the thread I mentioned a few posts back. The nanny pasta thread, only it was M&S fresh stuffed pasta that she objected to.

Here it is.

exoticfruits · 07/04/2011 19:25

I also loved one about Easter Eggs and the 'wrong' sort of chocolate.

LetThereBeRock · 07/04/2011 19:32

The clean and cup of tea thread was a good one too.

LetThereBeRock · 07/04/2011 19:33

Clean? Cleaner sorry.

laInfanta · 07/04/2011 19:37

I loved the Trip Adviser one - laughed til I cried

Also the one where Bonsoir managed to wind everyone up complaining about her stepsons putting on weight, and got 1000 posts in 4 hours
