I have just searched for it and can't bloody find it.

It was about 3 years ago, was started by cod and was something like 'what snazzy recipes did your mother cook in the 70s' or something.

It was hysterical.

I also loved the thread where we were invaded by the pram huns, Crap Tips (in classics but sadly useless as the links don't work), Shopping lists, "is that you UCM" and "Linda is a hospital administrator"

Also really loved the lefties threads during the election last year.

And my own "fuck I might be pregnant" saga Grin

Another vote for Pom Bear, it had everything - characters, plot, intrigue, a fine denoument (sp?).

And there was a priceless one about people's scary encounters with cows which had me weeping with laughter, but have never been able to track down since.

JarethTheGoblinKing · 07/04/2011 12:22

Cheers BOF Grin

PortBlackSandwitch · 07/04/2011 12:23

There was one from about 2007ish where someone's Dd had written in a poem that her grandma smelt of dusty bullocks or something like that - the first thread i couldn't stop laughing at.

PortBlackSandwitch · 07/04/2011 12:24

which also reminds me of the clay cock....Grin

ashamedandconfused · 07/04/2011 12:26

Bobble plate, pouffe of poo, river of sweetcorn, penguingate, all brilliant

what about garlic fango woman too? (was a spoof from a regular but very funny)

there was one i have never been able to find again where someone posted the picture their DC had done of scome scissors, which looked EXACTLY like a willy - please someone, find it for us!

empirestateofmind · 07/04/2011 12:26

I loved the plate down the back of the toilet thread.

And I wept with laughter at the poor (real) pink pony thread.

But my all time favourite is still the one where a MNer posted a link and wrote "AIBU to be gobsmacked (or similar) that DH has spent all our hard-earned money on this..." and it was a VW camper van with hippy decorations. It was years and years ago. Anyone remember?

PortBlackSandwitch · 07/04/2011 12:27

ah yes the skinned alive pink pony Grin

KaraStarbuckThrace · 07/04/2011 12:29

I liked Altinkums's one with the mad mum who wanted to take over her DS's party and got really upset with her. Everyone was cheering Altinkum on, it wasd great!

And the "What things surprise you?" thread has been both educating and entertaining!

empirestateofmind · 07/04/2011 12:29

OMG I forgot Pom Bear- I loved that thread.

GinSlinger · 07/04/2011 12:30

the one with the pomander was hilarious

molemesseskilledIpom · 07/04/2011 12:31

It's got to be the "Stupid things NOT to do" thread for me.

It was the first thead recomended to me and I still laugh about it now.

The other is the "stupid things at work" thread.

BitterAndTwistedChoreDodger · 07/04/2011 12:31

GOML I am rofling at 'bag 'o mash' - I had forgotten all about that! Grin

beachyhead · 07/04/2011 12:31

TheNinjaGooseIsOnAMission · 07/04/2011 12:32

Psammead · 07/04/2011 12:43

Anyone remember the one where the woman sent a really filthy text message... to her DAD?

Maryz I think I know the thread you are talking about.

Also the chavtastic thread.

Any threads involving embarassing moments.

EduStudent · 07/04/2011 12:44

Think the best part of Booble Plate was when the OP's DH held her by the shoulders and told her he would get the plate out that night.

I read it around the time of the Chilean Miners. The bravery, the courage, the determination...

BellaBearisWideAwake · 07/04/2011 12:45

the martianbishop MN in historical times. can't remember the first one but it spawned many others

MarioandLuigi · 07/04/2011 12:45

The unwanted groping was the funniest thread - it did take a rather troll-like turn but it was still so funny by the end.

MarioandLuigi · 07/04/2011 12:46

Did all the Judge Flounce threads get deleted?

Iklboo · 07/04/2011 12:47

Poor Woofa & having his dingle-dangles removed. I cried laughing at that one.

BringBackGoingForGold · 07/04/2011 12:47

Psammead, the filthy text one must have been hilarious!

ReshapeWhileDamp · 07/04/2011 12:47

Oxo Tower one made me wet myself. Even caused DH to crack a smile.

WHERE is the pam huns one? Is it gorn forever? Sad

GetOrfMoiLand · 07/04/2011 12:49

Bitterandtwisted - I am so glad someone else remembered that thread.

It was reallt really funny, all we were doing was saying bag o'mash, lump o'cheese etc Grin

poorbuthappy · 07/04/2011 12:50

I post the same thing on these types of thread...

Olympic horses, and still no one has ever found it. I remember roaring about a poodle going round the baggage reclaim (note: it was the description which was funny, not the general premise of a dog going round and round and round...)

Also what happened with the poster who had to do the choreographed dance at her mums wedding? Was it her mums wedding? I can't remember, although I think it was Thriller...

Also the thread about the eptopic preg where MN saved that woman's life...was brilliant.

TrillianAstra · 07/04/2011 12:50

The smug thread was lovely - it's where SycamoreTree became vile!
