Well,a friend has asked me to accompany her to the Per Una sale shop.Apparently,on their stock delivery days, you can be trampled in the street by middle aged women sporting very large shopping bags,as they rush to get first dibs.

Can't wait-what larks!

SarahStrattonHasNiceBears · 31/01/2011 14:13

That has blogging potential Mirage Grin

SarahStratton,it does, doesn't it?If only I was techy and had a camera phone hmmmm.I do have a new digital camera though.....

LeQueen, she is lovely, but her taste and mind differ considerably.I'm sure the following will say all I need to say about her idea of tasteful decor. We went to Burghley and she stopped in front of a stand selling coffee tables-those glass ones with a base comprising of dolphins/naked women/galloping horses. [tsk,it was Burghley, you'd think there would be some kind of vetting of tat being peddled, wouldn't you?]Anyway, she went into rhapsodies about how lovely she thought they were, and the one she liked the best had hippos as the base, and they protruded out of the top as if coming up for air.Shock

I was watching her face very carefully, waiting for her to say that she was winding me up,but no,she genuinely loved it and lamented the fact that her sitting room was too small for it.

And if you ever wondered who on earth buys those 'comedy' fridge magnets or signs to put up in your kitchen, wonder no more.

SarahStrattonHasNiceBears · 31/01/2011 18:44

Ohh Scary Coffee Table Lady.

And I have those kitsch fridge magnets, the retro ones that say stuff like 'I childproofed my house but they still get in' Hmm

Mirage · 31/01/2011 19:00

I like the retro ones,Sarah.I have been known to have to leave shops because I'm sniggering to much at them.I especially like the 'Jesus' type ones. Not the tacky ones in the shape of pigs going on about diets though.Grin

SarahStrattonHasNiceBears · 31/01/2011 19:43

Oh God no! Nothing like that in my kitschen. I quite fancy an irreligious Jesus one though.

offschoolagain · 31/01/2011 20:11

Wow I have just found this thread. The clothes are utterly unbelievable. Have you all been looking at PerUna clothes from the past or are these really on sale? the burntout neck top (can't do the link, but ye gods, comes with matching necklace; it was on page 13 of this thread) is almost incredible. Must be an M and S joke.

Megglevache · 01/02/2011 09:58

It isn't a joke and I think you'll find it's probably their stirrup pant slacks that are M&S number one seller- it's always a surprise!

The funny thing is my mum normally wears Peryoona head to toe and she looks gorgeous- no, really she does. (scout's honour)

She loves a bit of lipstick and lacy frou-frou she does

[puts hand up].My name is Mirage and I have a Per Una skirt and it could be described as swishy.Blush.In my defence it is about 9 years old.

LeQ,it looks like I may have to join my friend at counselling sessions.

HattiFattner · 22/02/2011 21:11

I always want my dresses to look like I have a pinny tied round them.

KenDoddsDadsDog · 25/02/2011 14:14

The mock layered tunic looks like a dinner lady's tabard. Bad bad bad.

KenDoddsDadsDog · 25/02/2011 14:16

A walking tablecloth

LadyBiscuit · 25/02/2011 18:09

'The matching necklace makes it extra stylish.'

No. No, it really doesn't.

itsalarf · 25/02/2011 19:08

looks like she's being attacked by giant caterpillars at the front and joy of joys, it is also fleecy for comfort!

HattiFattner · 26/02/2011 09:56
