I think this thread needs to go to M&S.

SarahStrattonHasNiceBears · 27/01/2011 19:39

I think they need Mumsnet to approve their designs before they hit the shopfloor.

LadyBiscuit · 27/01/2011 19:39

It's super that handbag cardi apparently. I don't think I've ever used the word super to describe an item of clothing. Must be where I'm going wrong. Or right, possibly :o

QuickLookBusy · 27/01/2011 19:44

Love the fact the designers are in oh so fashionable black. Why aren't they sporting their own creations I wonder? Because they wouldn't be seen dead in them I expect!

Imagine admitting you design for Per UnaGrin

itsalarf · 27/01/2011 19:45

Funny you should mention "super". I've had a huge urge to use that in everyday conversation and actually did the other day, just to see how it felt.

It felt sort of faux jolly iyswim Grin

onebatmother · 27/01/2011 19:50

They should push the handbag jumper idea further really, it's a bit understated. Maybe a backpack as well, and bra, of course. Maybe the tops of the tights she's wearing. A big corset belt. A necklace and bracelet and a tattoo. Pierced nimples.

Problem solved.

Megglevache · 27/01/2011 19:50

Jolly Grin

LadyBiscuit · 27/01/2011 20:03

:o Nimples

Oh god the pelvic floor.

Super :)

Megglevache · 27/01/2011 20:20

I think Franco has a thing for Lily of the Valley and Garibaldi biscuits...

Did we not notice the DOG on the jumper in amongst that lady's reviews Grin! Like Sizzle from Charlie and Lola! Had a lecturer c.1993 who always sported animal jumpers... we used to bet which one she would wear each day. I still remember the squirrel...(wistful)

Why doesn't the handbag cardi actually have pocket where the handbag bit is - would be useful to put things in.

if you want :) just giving some speziale tips on improving design here. Would a man buy a jumper with just a picture of a pocket on it?

Megglevache · 27/01/2011 22:05

ssen Franco a man may well have designed the special Trump L'oeil effect jersey himself!

My eyes!My eyes.I feel like a time machine has transported me back to the 1980's,back to the land of jazzy prints and ghastly monochrome tweedy jackets. It is not a good place to be,let me tell you.

Italian designers my arse.Per Una is based on an old lorry park/industrial estate, off a roundabout in a particularly unprepossessing bit of Leicestershire. These 'designs'have that desperate quality to them.

Just thought,I know someone in personnel at Per Una.I may ask her who does actually design the clothes-perhaps it's like that game where someone draws a head on a piece of paper, folds it over and the next person draws the body, and so on? They surely couldn't do a worse job than these.

SarahStrattonHasNiceBears · 27/01/2011 22:38

Oooh Mirage, be evil. Send her a link to this thread and the other Per Una one Grin

We need a devil emoticon.

Mirage · 27/01/2011 23:31

Sarah,I'd love to,but I might upset her.She is my mum's age and wouldn't find it funny.I'm glad she is due to retire soon, with that sort of product they won't be around much longer.

Will try to remember to ask her if the designers really are Italian,[or a couple of work experience lads from the local sink comp].

Megglevache · 27/01/2011 23:41

Ahem looks like they've had a run on the satchel titty sweater, there are two new reviews! arf

OP posts:
Mirage · 27/01/2011 23:51

Oh you are bad! I had a bit of a snortfest at those reviews. Are you planning any more?

Pleeeease say yes!

Megglevache · 27/01/2011 23:52

You might see a few more, I mean the web traffic they had today, stands to reason no?

OP posts:
SarahStrattonHasNiceBears · 27/01/2011 23:55

Bwahaha! Own up, who wrote the review by PBeare?
