I know what I would do.

  1. Buy a 5 bedroom house so we all get our own room, big garden so James could have a dog.
  1. Get private medical insurance so we never again have to await scans and results.
  1. Buy Shabs a villa in Faliraki.
  1. Throw a big party for all my lovely lovely mad mums on here.
  1. Treat myself to highlights.
  1. Buy bags and bags of M&S choccy nuts!

....and all is calm!

Snorris · 09/05/2009 19:32

I have 2 girls country-dancing up and down every day!! . Seriously, glad all is peaceful again .

shabster · 09/05/2009 19:51

All respect to you Snorris - I dont 'get' girls, they are a total mystery to me...if there is a God he knew what he was doing sending me four sons!!! They are the most frightening creatures on this planet. The two who were here today are about 25 in their heads - so full of confidence and talking about boys all the time [wetting my pants emoticon] Tom seems like a little boy next to them.

Im going up to chellesters - tomorrow is Matt's 17th remember day (hate the word anniversary) and I need to be out of the house to stop being so angry and miserable. Chellester will sort me out If someone comes on here later saying she loves you all or picking a fight it will be my evil twin

LOL ROFL Rubester - the opening bars of that song are just instantly recognisable. I can hear him now (sung in the way he talked) Pump up de jam pump it up wwile ur feet awr jumping

He once had headphones in and played that song and sang loudly along with it for an entire 3 hour train journey to South Wales...the first 100 times were amusing - it lost its appeal by the time we got to Hereford!!

His first girlfriend - Becky (Wed Wibbons as he called her) has left lillys and a beautiful card at the cemetery - there are angels walking amongst us. xx

shabster · 10/05/2009 13:29

Hope our Matt has friends in 'high places' just settling down to watch my beloved Manchester City play Manchester United Please let God have a skyblue and white scarf today - [everything crossed and hoping for a miracle emoticon]

shabster · 10/05/2009 14:17

Obviously God is a 'red!!' 2-0 for United and its only half time

My brother has just rung to tell me he is going to be a Grandad!!!!! His son is 21 this year and his partner is just 18 - awwwwww. Baby due on Christmas Day. Im so excited - Dotster and Harryster are over the moon that they are going to be great-grandparents for the second time.......wonder if baby will be a little girl????

I hold the proud title of the only girl in our family but wouldn't mind sharing it with my 'neice.'

piximon · 10/05/2009 22:35

Thinking of you today Shabs.

shabster · 10/05/2009 23:10

Thanks Pixie.... another remember day over and a glorious 25th birthday to look forward to in June for Matt. xx

frumpygrumpy · 10/05/2009 23:22

I love wed wibbons and what a girl to take flowers and a card. So adorable that she still thinks of him in such a close way. I get that.

Hope your day passed ok Shabs, of course, its not over yet and I would predict that by Tuesday the real low of today will hit. It does for me anyway......you kind of build up to an 'anniversary' and then adrenalin gets you through. Its a few days later when the adrenalin leaves that the slump comes. Sorry! I don't mean to be the purveyor of doom!!!! I'm merely not packing away the recliner or the cashmere shawl or the 300 packs of jaffa cakes I keep for moments like this I will lay them all on the sideboard and we'll just keep them to hand.

Your lovely boy will be giving them hell up there.........if he's anything like his mother's evil twin

FIL took a turn for the worse again tonight. Mmmmmmm. Not good at all.

shabster · 10/05/2009 23:37

Thanks for all your 'mobile phone' support Frumpster I appreciate it so much. I have an 11 minute video of Matt that all my neighbours helped with. It is totally adorable. I took it up to Chellesters tonight and we watched it all together. I had forgotten how brilliant my boys are. Chellesters 7 year old came straight out with the remark - 'I bet you wish Matt was still alive.' Kind of panicked me and then I looked in his deep brown labrador eyes (he is half Jamaican) and answered him honestly. 'I wish with all my heart that Matt was still here because you would adore him.'

'Out of the mouth of babes!'

It has been an odd day....I have struggled to 'keep it all together.' I know what you mean Frumpster about the 'crashing and burning in another couple of days.' On Facebook I have had so many wonderful messages....Im proud to be Dan, Gareth, Matt and Toms Mammy.

xxxxxxxxxxx

shabster · 10/05/2009 23:39

Frumpster - sending my love to FIL and hoping that 'stuff' works out....such a difficult time.

Wed Wibbons? Oh my darling Wed Wibbons....she has been married about 4 years now....she is beautiful inside and out.Matt loved her like we would all like to be loved!!!! She is a first class wonderful woman. xx

shabster · 11/05/2009 06:52

reasons for my abandonment of the thread of late.....

ds3 has come down with the pox, am now on wk 6 of it and still 2 more dcs to go. Add to fact ds3's beautiful button nose met with cupboard door handle yesterday. Blood was dripping all over. He was fine, but blocked up so kept me up with his snoring all night.

Our car engine died a few weeks back, was cheaper to buy a new car than fix all the probs with ours. Spent ages tracking down one we could get into more debt with afford. Had to stop driving lessons.

Dts taken to messing about at bed time till very late, then tired and grumpy all day.

Essay due in tomorrow night and not getting anywhere with it.

Am feeling really fed up at the mo, will be back in a few days with a new look I think.

HarrogateMum · 11/05/2009 13:02

Hi all - Shabs I wish I had seen that it was Matt's remember day yesterday - we had my DD christened yesterday so its kind of bittersweet to see that was the same day. Lots of love xxxx

shabster · 11/05/2009 13:45

Dont worry HM. I hope you had a lovely day xxxxx
