I know what I would do.

  1. Buy a 5 bedroom house so we all get our own room, big garden so James could have a dog.
  1. Get private medical insurance so we never again have to await scans and results.
  1. Buy Shabs a villa in Faliraki.
  1. Throw a big party for all my lovely lovely mad mums on here.
  1. Treat myself to highlights.
  1. Buy bags and bags of M&S choccy nuts!

Hola my gorgeous ones

Trips, we are in a villa on the hillside, overlooking the bay of Pollenca. We are close to the old town of Pollenca which is so much more mellow and muted than the port which is getting a bit commercial IMHO. Its pretty quiet here this year, credit crunch has hit. I am struggling a bit to relax though, keep pacing, I think its because life was too busy when we left and there is still a lot going on there....... anyway, I will TRY

It could also be because I have a scalp and face of excema and my eyes are still swollen and bloodshot every morning (the eye hospital are concerned........but can't do much as they can't work out what is going on). Hmmmmmm.

Sangria maybe? And shopping. Maybe I should shop.

Happy remember day to Gareth. We remember! Shabs, how's your cleavage? Are your nails growing? Mine always grow like hell in the sun.

triplets · 21/07/2009 23:24

Buenos Noches amigo!
Oh I can hear the crickets rubbing their legs, see you sitting on your terrace slurping the last of your sangria.........oh wish I could meet you in Tangos.......I here my friend Manolo has opened up a new Tangos on the road out of the port towards Alcudia, they say the menu del dia is the best value in the port. I agree its getting too commercialised but I still have a soft spot for it in my heart

OP posts:
frumpygrumpy · 21/07/2009 23:31

Soft spot? Why do you think I'm here for 3 weeks !!!!!!!!!

And not just Jose the gorgeous owner/farmer/pool man/ grass cutter. He is something else!!!!!!

Anyone else not feeling enough info re: Nikos????

We need a new sunbed thread!!!

D'y ever wonder.............

triplets · 21/07/2009 23:52

How come you and Shabs are out of the country yet are keeping this thread going?? 3 weeks Frumpster, lucky you, do you eat in the port? We have a lovley friend who runs El Posito, it was his Dads place, but last time we were there Vicente looked very poorly, so handsome son is running it. Its where we met that old couple who thought Harry was married to my mum!

Hi Rubester, you off too? Which part or are you keeping quiet? Lokks like costa del deal for us, nothing yet, prices ridiculously high for last minute. We have miles of beach here, rock pools, butttttttttt if you are at home you work! Need to get tomorrow out of the way, wish us luck!

Shabs, have you been in the pool with the lovely one yet?

oooggs · 22/07/2009 21:21

Mars, Momma, anyone!!!!!!!!! breastfeeding twins advise needed

frumpygrumpy · 22/07/2009 22:10

Ruby, lol! We could be passing each other eating ice cream and NEVER know it!!!!!

Trips, we either eat at the villa or up in the old town and sometimes in the port. For a price (2 kajillion pounds) , there is a chef who will cook for us here but I think that is a bit "up your own arse" and I can't be doing with it. It is VERY quiet here, for high season its very quiet. And very expensive. The £ is not wearing well at all. Any little cottages your way, say in a 20mile radius? That way you feel you are away but you have no real travel cost? What is the budget?

It was a hot 35degrees here today. I love it! Mind you, almost put on a scarf as its a bit cool compared to Shabs

My eyes are struggling, I was at the eye hospital before we left but I still don't have much comfort. Right eye, very uncomfortable and I do feel a bit worried about it. Anyway, we'll see.

Ruby, sarong and beaded flopflops in the usual place

frumpygrumpy · 22/07/2009 22:13

And with that, I have to go, my eyes are so sore, right eye shut and swollen what is going on there?

Oh poor you Frumpster, go the one of the local pharmacist, we have always found them excellent, or failing that we have used several times the medico opposite the bottom left corner of the square.
Ok time to go, hospital appt at 10.45am!

you are all bathing in sunshine and I'm sitting in front of the fire with a massive storm raging outside.
In about 4 weeks I am to attempt the unthinkable - fly from NZ back to my beloved Blighty with my 9 mth old twin girls and 2 and a half yr old son, on my own (unless you count the 400 other fellow economy passengers).
However, my parents will be meeting me in Heathrow where I will be handing them the 'primary caregiver' baton and collapsing into the back of a Ford Galaxy or similar and dreaming of the 2 months of help and support my lovely parents will generously give me. I can't wait to be at hooooome
