I know what I would do.

  1. Buy a 5 bedroom house so we all get our own room, big garden so James could have a dog.
  1. Get private medical insurance so we never again have to await scans and results.
  1. Buy Shabs a villa in Faliraki.
  1. Throw a big party for all my lovely lovely mad mums on here.
  1. Treat myself to highlights.
  1. Buy bags and bags of M&S choccy nuts!

oh Trips - I never, ever remember - got a head empty of brain cells!!!

Remembering Matthew - I know I never met him but I still have a photo you sent to me of him. He looked like he was a beautiful lad - inside and out. Im sure he will be with my Gareth and Matt - they will be tutting at me and you and causing havoc in heaven - I hope

for Matthew

triplets · 02/06/2009 23:36

Shabs........you do remember, the first cd he bought for himself, he loved that song. Do you know what was strange today? I was in the pub as usual with mum and my brother, they never mentioned today, we know Matthew died between 10.45 and 11am, at 10.50am this man came and sat at the bar, bald but young. I kept looking at him, then went up to him and said "are you Joe, Joe Fendt? You went to school with my son". He looked at me and said, "your Matthews mum"> We then talked for about 20 mins, he wanted to know what had happened that morning, what had happened since! Poor boy just sat there with his mouth wide open! He plays the drums, has his own group called The Flack and is doing a gig on Sat night in the pub! It was weird talking to him after all those years, esp this morning. It so makes you realise what you have missed doesn`t it?

Good morning girls x

You are right Trips - our boys have 'stood still' in time and the rest of the World has the audacity to keep on turning

We had a visit a couple of weeks ago from Dan and Matts school friend. Havent seen him for about 12 years. He lives in London now and was up home for the week-end. He wanted me to tell him exactly what had happened with Matt. When I told him he seemed to have had a weight lifted off his shoulders..he had come to call for Dan that morning and couldnt get to our house because of the emergency services closing the road off.

Massive hugs coming from Lancashire to you xx

Fg - I have some interesting vinyl! What kind of interesting do you mean!

I also have lots of books that I read and then give to charity so they are always up for grabs if we are having a swap shop!

shabster · 03/06/2009 18:43

Thank you Momma - the funniest bit is DH, Dan and Lew sat together.....they are like carbon copys of each other. Im very proud of Dan and Em for making it through a very difficult year. Em is still taking her AD's but obviously feeling much better - the poor love was really poorly along the way. Her PND really affected Dan and made him frightened of his own shadow....BUT...on Monday Lewis Daniel will celebrate his 1st birthday - WOW what a year xx

Good morning girls xx

Snorris · 04/06/2009 18:09

Hiya.
Been having connection problems so that's why I've posted even less than usual .

Dd4 had a hospital appt yesterday and the right side of her heart has almost recovered and the left has begun to show signs of improvement . The docs still don't know why it happened and certainly don't consider it a good move to do any invasive investigations. Next cardiac review in 3 months so that's a step forwards .

Dd5 is 6 months - where has that time gone? She isn't quite crawling but can get around without too much trouble. She loves feeling her feet on the floor, always sticking her bum up in the air!!

Today is my 15th wedding anniversary - not that I feel like celebrating it. I don't know why and I feel like a bitch for feeling this way .

shabster · 04/06/2009 18:18

That is amazing news about your DD - she sounds like a real fighter.

No wonder you dont feel like celebrating your Wedding Anniversary - too much has been going on over the last few months - you must feel exhausted.

Give DD a massive hug from me -

frumpygrumpy · 04/06/2009 18:57

Snorris, not a bit a bitch!!!!!!! Lets look at it from the other direction...........you are married and don't feel you have to make an 'effort' for each other = harmony.

Trips, you always said you haven't really felt Matthew around. That was your sign. He is. How wonderful to chat with that boy/man. Lovely. Matthew is still around, we just can't see him. And that is the sad bit, but it won't always be that way, you will have your time again, I know it xxxxxx.

When I get a chance, I'll email my add. At this rate it will be 2026 before we move
