I know what I would do.

  1. Buy a 5 bedroom house so we all get our own room, big garden so James could have a dog.
  1. Get private medical insurance so we never again have to await scans and results.
  1. Buy Shabs a villa in Faliraki.
  1. Throw a big party for all my lovely lovely mad mums on here.
  1. Treat myself to highlights.
  1. Buy bags and bags of M&S choccy nuts!

Mental old time here. People and things flying in every direction. I have been doing viewings and it means keeping the place spotless all the time. I have so much crap hidden in so many weird places Can't pack out the cupboards because they open them!!!

Just watching myself as I think I'm coming down with something. I ache from the waist down and my throat is sore......oh dear.

Shabs, when do you go to FALIRAKI* There, just put it up in lights for you

Where's trips? Did she have fun? No parcel arrived Trips. Are you allowed to send men in the post?

We have people missing in action........they know who they are and if I find out they are lurking!!!!! There will be trouble. Shabs, get ready with all your "lady jane" chat

Paolo Nutini is playing a last minute gig here on Monday. Tickets are up for grabs from 8am, Monday morning in the centre of town. I think I need a keen teenager to queue for me from about 7am..........is it rude to ask friends if their children are interested? The tickets are free as its a promotional gig but I would pay the teenager what I would normally pay for my ticket. I can't get into town with three children, on the school run, by 7am....... And I'd love to go. Its all been hectic and busy everyday here and I don't stop between 6.30am and midnight so it would be heaven to kick back for a while.

frumpygrumpy · 28/05/2009 13:50

frumpygrumpy · 28/05/2009 14:01

I would give up ice cream to share a little something with this boy man

Voice of a right old boy. Skin of porcelain. Eye of deep, muddy puddles.

shabster · 28/05/2009 15:10

We go to the wonderful Faliraki the day after 14th July but before the 16th July Think that will discourage any burglars who live near me

Too piggin' quiet on here - I am home early from my friends! Tom bit my other friends son (they are both 11) there is always massive rivalry between them....it kind of overflowed tonight and Tom bit him!!! Very hard....I can understand why and I know the history between them but I feel so embaresed, I made him come home and now I am sat here feeling so shown up!!

There is about 3 years of history between the kids but I cannot believe my lovely lad did that.

Found out a bit more about the 'story' behind last night. My friends son and Tom were wrestling - friends son is not allowed to wrestle and thats why that wasnt mentioned. FSon had Tom pinned and he couldn't get free - still no reason to bite but it does explain it.

just feel shown up - Friend is very critical of Tom and this has just reinforced her feelings. Oh well - another day, another dollar!!

Thanks Rubester - I know he is a good kid but, like you said, it was soooo out of character for him.

Tomster used to go to wrestling classes and their instructor used to tell them not to eat stuff like Macdonalds - I think its pathetic myself. Have a great day Rubester.

frumpygrumpy · 29/05/2009 13:06

Ruby, arse of a coach. That teaches kids that food has right and wrongs and makes everyone feel guilty and also crave the wrongs. Totally fine IMHO. Totally. Go and have fun xxxxx.

Shabs, one thing that pops into my mind.........why give your 'friend' the allowance of worrying about her feelings when she is critical of your children? I only have RL friends who understand and who don't judge and who accept my apologies, and tell me its not needed, when I am embarrassed by my children. That is why I only have 2 women in RL that I truly call friends. Everyone else is by the way. So Tom bit him. Show me a child who hasn't done it. Don't be embarrassed, Tom is a star and its just what happens in life. He has passion in his blood and knows how to protect himself. FWIW, I think you handled it all beautifully.

Gotta run.

Pixi, don't stay away darling. We are here for you x.

Shabs.............report to me please
Well girls for once I am glad to be home! Trip down on Mon was ok, took 6 hours but we took our time nad had a pic-nic. Arrived at the lodge, stunning location, woodland, safe for the kids who ran off leaving us to unpack the car and struggle up the hill to our home for the next 4 days.Opened the door and my heart sank, old, well used, grubby and smelt damp....................oh I could go on. Anyway, unpacked, opened the windows and then popped opened some fizz and we all jumped into the hot tub................blissssssss. Went to bed late, Harry and Thomas had the twin roon downstairs by the bathroon and only loo. Becca chose to sleep in the single bed on the mezzanine which was under the eaves, James slept with me in the smallest double bed I have ever seen. Now I say slept, Becca kept bumping her head on the beams, Harrys bedroom door kept sticking and he was up 2/3 times to empty Gladys, James wriggled, snored, ground his teeth ALL night, then he fell out of bed, the slats under the bed were all broken and the matress fell through! Finally doze off some time after 2am, then aghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh every starling, crow, cuckoo, blackbird woke up at 3.45am, as did the toddler in the next lodge!! This was the pattern for the next three nights. Tues was lovely, we took the steam train up to Minehead, the sun shone, came back and had supper, Becca palled up with two girls who were also staying there and brought them round to us, then the war started, boys against girls, truly. One girl Tamara told Becca that she had to take tablets everyday because she gets angry all the time. Then she told James that she thought we were a weird family and a weak family! She then upset Thomas by saying she thought Harry was their grandad, Thomas said their dad was very ill with cancer, she said he still looked like a grandad. This made me rush to the freezer looking for the kippers Shabs! When Rebecca finally came in I had a quiet word with her, noly for her to say I never let her have any friends and she hates Thomas and James! The next day we wake up to pouring rain and thick mist, Harry is not feeling good so we stay put all day, a long boring day and I go off to bed by 8.30pm. Thurs is a little brighter, Harry is feeling better and wants to walk around a lake, except that after 30 mins walking he just couldnt do it, I felt sorry for him, we used to walk miles. So back home we went and the rot set in! He was obviously feeling low and rotten, I felt angry, angry that this bloody disease has changed everything yet again. The kids went off to the games room, James came back in tears, the pool table wasnt working, someone had jammed up the money slot, couldnt play ping pong, someone had taken the bats! Becca went off with the dreaded Tamara and Philippa and they were making fun of Thomas who really lost it with them. Harry has wanted to do a bbq to give me a break from cooking, but by 7pm he was too tired, so I said it didnt matter I would throw all the meat in the oven, it had to be cooked as we were leaving the next morning. The bloody red hot oven door fell off onto my foot................the last straw girls, the last straw. 6 hours drive home on Frid, and 5 lots of washing later I can truly say I am glad to be home! Oh.................and I have missed you all!

Oh shite Trips - not even going to cross through the word shite. I was so hoping that stuff would be wonderful for you. Kids are truly horrible these days - can you imagine me or you saying being mean about someone elses parents...my Mam would have slapped my legs so hard, she would have been so mad at me.

I dont know what to say except welcome home. I have missed you like mad. xxx
