MERLYPUSS · 19/03/2009 20:24

Helloooooo ladeez.
I have had my eyes nuked and I feel like a new woman. Very PMT at the mo but I am able to see exactly where to slam things now. I have missed another cubs meeting tonight. Last Thurs I was nuked and the one befor eI had a cold so that's three on the trot. I will get drummed out. Tsk.

piximon · 19/03/2009 21:33

Hey Merly, eye nuking is life changing. Mine were done pre-dts and just being able to see the clock in the middle of the night morning was a revelation. I still marvel over seeing clearly now. Glad yours went well.

I'm knackered and already dreading my driving lesson booked for tomorrow. I used to love Fridays.

GP thinks my thyroid is playing up, will get blood test results next week. I have all the symptoms but have been tested in the past and always comes back negative so who knows.

shabster · 19/03/2009 21:43

Good evening ladies - am watching my team Manchester City play some team in Europe!!! I think they are in Denmark - its a 'great' game

shabster · 19/03/2009 22:08

Oh Frumpster - remember my friend Linda (looking for Linda). Her daughter just emailed me. Her daughter is about 30 and a beautiful woman (inside and out). She went to see a local physcic (sp?) last night. They live in south Wales.

It was a group of her friends.

The man said he had a little boy who had been killed in an accident and had an older brother called Daniel. She put her hand up to say she knew who it was. He said that the little boy asked him to tell her the following 'Tell my Mam I am fine and not to worry about me. Tell Daniel not to drive fast.' Then he was gone. Yes, I have already warned Danny Oh dear [deep sigh emoticon] I miss my two boys so much - so much that it is hard to describe in mere words.

Notice that he always makes himself known by calling me Mam. From the minute he could talk I was never Mum, Mummy, Mother, Shabbs!! Always, always, always Mam.

estar · 19/03/2009 22:38

Pixi - like everyone else, I hated, hated, HATED learning to drive. It didn't come naturally at all. I had to have so many lessons and each time I felt so much pressure at the thought of all that money I was spending on it. The more nervious I got, the worse it was.

The day I passed was amazing. It was like the biggest weight had been lifted from my shoulders and I was suddenly free to go where I wanted, when I wanted. And when someone is not watching your every move, it only takes a few weeks till it starts to feel like second nature.

You go girl!

Ahem. Hi all. Sorry to hear about your nana, Momma.

estar · 19/03/2009 22:40

Wow Shabs

shabster · 19/03/2009 22:55

Hiya estar - Ive missed you.

That is a bit WOW isin't it.....no matter what your religion or outlook on life or thoughts about the afterlife - that is still WOW!! There has to be something else? Cant just be this life because this life is toooooo difficult. My sons were too vital to just 'disappear into thin air.'

It has made me smile and cry and reflect xx

shabster · 19/03/2009 23:18

if I was a butterfly

This is how about 200 of Matts primary school friends sang this song at his funeral. It makes me LOL everytime I watch it. It was his favourite song in assembly and all the children who came to the funeral came in uniform and sang with gusto!!!

We had several of our towns 'special people' at the funeral. Mainly alcoholics and drug addicts who knew our family and then joined in with the kids......it was a 'special' moment and one that would have had Matt wetting himself with laughter Room for all of us in this World????

shabster · 19/03/2009 23:36

triplets · 20/03/2009 22:22

Hi..........that was a pleasant afternoon! Well, he examined me(not too much info given here and said he couldnt feel anything or see( anything and so didnt think anything too sinister was going on. As my father died of primary stomach cancer and as I have had the pain for 5 months he is going to send me for a ct scan and a barium enema, just to make sure. All brings back scary memories of this time last year. He said it could be diverticular disease or possibly adhesions from an old op in the same site.........so its a waiting game now........not sure if I feel relieved or worse! Anyway, thats me. H has his picc line in on Mon, chemo on Weds, they won`t do it at our local hospital anymore, so its a 45 mile round trip! Off to my bed, kale nits everyone xxx
