Gawd help us, one and all!!! So far today:-

Has pressed the button to the DVD player and hit himself in the head with the tray!

Has grabbed the carefully hidden remotes and we are currently watching Asian TV!!

Has stood by himself for several minutes at a time.

Has made me realise I know nowt about looking after a 9 month old

Oh the utter joy of the baby who tries to walk early!!

HI all
Not been on here for a while. Hope you all had a good Mother's day. I had a hand made card from DD2 and a bought one from DD1 and she actually said hello to me- I think she is slowly thawing.

DP was home for the weekend and was shocked at the size of me already. I don't think I can make it another 26 weeks - I feel like a hefalump already. If I keep growing at this rate I won't be able to drive my car by about 26 weeks! Help.

HarrogateMum · 23/03/2009 17:57

hi all - my mothers day started well with a bacon butty in bed. however it then turned into 6 hours of cleaning/boxing things up/lifting heavy furniture at our house (still not ready.......). Followed by a screaming match with DH and me cooking the roast dinner he promised to do. Someone tell me there is some light somewhere!

thanks ladies

I got stood up twice today.

First by lady who gives ds1 a lift to school on a monday, only she's often late so I didn't panic till I called her at 8.35 and she was at work. Bus wasn't till 9 so we were 15mins late (not bad with the dcs in tow, but we'd all been ready for the day by 7.30). I really hate lateness, it's one of the few things that rile me up so I was furious at not getting ds1 in on time. I told her I'll just take him in future, saves me spending most of Monday peering through the window waiting and worrying, which leads me onto...

I was supposed to have a driving lesson at 6.30 this evening. I'm still waiting for instructor to turn up or at least call to say where she is....

Clearly I am very insignificant and highly forgettable.

littlelamb · 23/03/2009 19:38

Pixi are you still wanting the carseat? I am having real issues trying to fix my doorbell and hope you haven't been left standing on my doorstep (again)!

piximon · 23/03/2009 19:51

LL yes please, sorry it's been a weird weekend. Fri or sat whichever suits you best. Will call when outside.

piximon · 23/03/2009 20:43

Goodmorning Shabs..........freezing here and blowing a gale, lovely........wont be seeing France today! Poor H yesterday left here to go to the hospital to have his picc line put in, got there at 11am and got home at 6.30pm! All for a 20min proceedure done by ultra sound, I did feel sorry for him. So chemo starts tomorrow for another three months. I went to bed at 9pm last night feeling really weird, weak, panicky, dizzy, not so bad this morning but still feel not right. Dy know my 50s have been awful healthwise, never feel I wake up with every part of me feeling normal...........then Im not normal am I? Right better go wake the troops, all got a glowing report yesterday at the consultation with their teacher, esp Thomas, very pleased with him
